I ordered that journal & love it since I use a 5x7 gel plate. I've already filled a dozen pages & more to come. The best part is in trying all the different techniques you've taught. 3:03
I was fascinated to watch your 'auditioning' process and to hear which parts you preferred and why. I make my own art journals and currently also prefer a smaller page, made with different papers - handmade, old notebook pages, old book pages, music paper - all sorts! The pages aren't sewn in, so I can remove them to work on them flat. The different types of paper can add to the collage or they may be completely covered - and every once in a while I create something I like!
I typically cut 4x4 squares, but as soon as I saw this video I ordered the 5.5x5.5 bookie you're working in! Brilliant. Keeps everything together. Thanks for your inspiring content. I love your channel.
Sorry I'm so long answering comments. I was out of town. How do you like? I'm sure by now you got it and have worked in it already. Thanks for watching.
I like to use three ring binders. The medium size, not school binders. This way I can take the pages out and put them back when they are finished. Sometimes large book papers folded in half. Bound together with elastic bands. Same thing, removable and you can use different sizes in the same journal also. God bless
Thanks. I get the music from Epidemic Sound. They provide music to content creators so we can avoid copyright infringement. I'm not sure what it's called.
I also ordered the journal & completed 20 collages. I had an issue with the pages sticking despite allowing them to dry separated. I then sprayed then with varnish a few at a time keeping them separated. 21:57
You might find wet media (like gel medium) will create wrinkles in that sort of packing paper, and it's not durable. Yours might be different than mine was, but I found about 1" pieces applied with glue stick worked best.

Thanks for sharing that. I love to hear how other create, their process. I love how you call it the auditioning process. Thank you again.
Love the project and the music!
Thanks. Sorry I'm late getting my comments answered. I went on a much needed vacation.

Love your work & commentary! I'm buying this journal today. I have my papers ready for collage thanks to you & your amazing videos!
Thanks for watching. I'm happy to see some of you are learning and making good use of the information.
I truly like the right side better, it has so much character!!!😊
See, Everybody sees it differently. Art is so subjective. Thanks for watching.
I also ordered it and like it a lot. Thank you for the recommendation.
You're welcome. Enjoy.

That's interesting. Thanks for sharing that.
Love small square journals. I have them with different papers-mixed media, craft card stock. Black pages might be nice too.
I love the black paper idea. Sounds wonderful.
What if you continued that sap green swoosh around into a circle to calm the right side down? Beautiful!
Great video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching.
I like your art and the music - what is this piece of music? I love it!

Did the varnish work? You can also use cold wax.

UGH. I hate glue sticks. You are probably right. I love the papers I work with and that is 95% of what I use. Thanks for the heads up.
Dollar tree actually has a small cutting mat
I'll have to take a look.
