Nothing I like to see more than a good ol' pair of crocks on a construction site. 😁
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
I'm very happy about this.
Haters gonna hate, hope a year on it worked out well for you. I'm thinking about a similar method myself for a metal shed so hopefully you're video has saved me over €1,000 which is the quote i got just to pour a concrete base!!
Great job, well done you guys
Thank you so much 😀
nice to read all professional trade cowboys coments below, "you need this, you need that etc.." when 90% of times when on the job all they do is getting overpaid and cutting corners as always right?
Well said
Bullllllllllllseye!!!!!
Damn right
seens exactly what im looking for :) thank you
Great to hear!
That mallet is comically large. Reminds me of a looney toons cartoon.
Yes, it's huge. I borrowed it from a freind
I love it 😂
Have a 10x8 shed I’m looking to put down. Exactly what is needed. Ground is level but it’s just dirt and grass.
Nice!
Thank you
I’ve got mallet envy
I've borrowed it :)
Need more paver base ( 3 inches) and you needed to tamp it down before laying the pavers.
Pavers that big where im at cost 22$ each.. to do just the shed floor with those would cost more than half as much as the shed itself cost..
And concrete would cost double the shed. That's just how it goes.
How does it look now?

How does this paver method hold up against moisture?
It does
It's perfect for plastic sheds, like the ones from Costco
Imagine a tradesman laying a patio shed base like this Jesus
It doesn’t show how the shed was anchored.
Why wasn’t this tamped?
Please see the video for clamping the shed: th-cam.com/video/nkNQXos3udw/w-d-xo.html
what sand or dirt is in the plastic bags?
Sand from the construction store.
@@sipapito sharp sand (uk name)
What’s the gravel stuff you put down before the slabs? Thanks
We used cotswold chippings from B&Q
These are pavement blocks aren't they?
Yes, they are
Better control water runoff. Not enough base and you didn’t even tamp it. This won’t end well 😬
what is tamping? The ground I need to lay a base looks just like this, I was going to dig down a few inches a lay sand
Can you please explain what tamping is?
@@steveb7853 it’s what’s done to settle the foundation prior to placing a load on it. Can be done using a heavy tool, or tamping machine.
You didn't show how you attached shed to pavers

No level, string line or tamping of the base? This shed will look like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in a few short years.
so you just said f it, and didnt even use 3 inches of paver base. This will last 3 years tops. If you skip the steps, you're just end up doing double the work. Best of wishes.
Just curious what would happen to the base?
ITS NOT LEVEL!!!
How would you know? Your looking at a screen..
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go! In the shot of the whole shed and concrete platform, I can see gaps under the shed..or is that intentional ? It looks great otherwise 😊
Looks so shoddy
