Nice Sean. If anyone has a problem making D shape with pinky, ring and middle finger for the D/F# they can try regular D shape and wrap the thumb onto the F#. Probably not the greatest for long term use since it strains the forearm muscles doing that, but just a thought I had.
It's not exactly the way how he plays it but I think the way you play it sounds the best for acoustic and it's fun because it challenged me to do that f over a or whatever that hard long chord is
Thanks for the reply, the goal was to blend both guitar parts into 1 and show it was possible to play both at the same time, and still maintain the integrity of the song. He doesn’t play it this way live, probably because it’s difficult, so I posted this to show that it was possible, and fun. Enjoy !
Choco Loco I know a place that has some killer guitars just like this called Brushstroke Music. I think I saw you there one or two times. I might be able to get them to give you a good deal!
Hey man I know this this old but do you think you could come back to it and teach the mini soft rift almost, in the middle of the song. So far no one has taught it so far.
i tried to learn this 6 months ago...broke my guitar string while tryna learn it, i just got it fixed (dont ask why it took so long for me to get it fixed) now im gomna try to learn it again
I don't really know any good tips for it but it's fairly simple, just practice a bit. You have to slide your finger fast enough but also not too fast so that it sounds rushed and different to the song. Just make sure you're pressing on the string right and slide your finger I guess. Sorry this isn't very helpful I just don't really know any tips for this, there might be a video on TH-cam to help you though. Goodluck
At about 35 seconds I state that it’s tuned down a half step and trying to get as close as possible to the album (aka studio/record) version. This is for your fun and benefit . On the studio version he plays different guitar tracks and mixes them together, I thought it might be fun to show people that you can play the different parts together at the same time👍🏼
You’re going a bit fast so it’s harder to learn. It you could make another version of this video and just dumb it down for us slow folks that’d be amazing
Good question, I’ve got that a lot.. in studio, he recorded two different guitar parts and then mixed them together to give it a fuller sound. My goal was to blend the two parts into a playable version. Yes it is challenging, but fun once you get it. He doesn’t do that live because he’s also singing ( so is the crowd) and probably wants to keep it simple.
hands down, best tutorial for this song so far 😄😄 actually sounds like the recording too!! this deserves more views/likes
DEM melons thanks!
That’s the best tutorial for this song right now

Dave Davenport thank you 🙏 I’m debating that dark hour idea 💡
Your guitar sounds great. What brand of strings do you use? I just broke one yesterday.

Rania Thank you for watching!
Thank you! Best guitar tutorial yet for this song!
Thank you for watching 🙏
capo on second fret with CGEF works good for the verses instead of tuning the guitar differently btw
gray it doesn’t work as well as down tuning, but do what you think is good 😊, I just do this for everyone’s enjoyment! God bless
@@SeanHallGuitar thank you! I'm fairly new at guitar and just found that easier, but I'll try down tuner when I can god bless you too
Wow this is great! Best tutorial i found here for this song :)

Alternative way: bar 8th, then 3rd, then E, then F
And for the chorus: bar 8th, then E, then F, then bar 3rd fret
(Saves tuning down)

Cavetown cover? I'm subscribing
Hey soo that f# over A#sharp isn’t making my fingers to happy any alternatives???
Unfortunately those inverted chords are a beast. Try it without the pinky and mute the fourth string with the underside of your index finger
Your great! Waiting on the fingerstyle though
It was a good tutorial, but I just can't figure out what you're doing on the 7th fret and then to the 3rd fret.
Theres a key change near the end of the song. How would you play it? Would you just put a capo on the 1st fret?
hey after the extreme chord and you slide to the 7th fret, whats the finger positioning?
Hey man I know this this old but do you think you could come back to it and teach the mini soft rift almost, in the middle of the song. So far no one has taught it so far.
if you can give me a time stamp like eg.1:45-2:02 , ill see what i can do ;.>

Just practice sliding up and down the string. Strike the string on the 7, slide, strike on 3rd. Practice over and over again
Is it the record version or the live version ? Because on the live one he is normally tuned and doesn’t play like that

Ben Jenkins try slowing it down to 75% in your menu. Practice and practice again, you will get it !
Just curious why are his hands shaking is that a condition (I'm new here don't know the story).

what is the tuning again?
