- A new week kicked off this morning with some Monday morning rail movements at ADM's Standard Elevator in Buffalo, NY's old First Ward neighborhood, as a crew moves loaded grain hoppers through a 3-way switch and into the elevator's unloader with the help of a small, yet powerful GE 35 ton critter!

LOVE THAT DRONE!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Apparently so do the birds! 😵😆
Nice way of showing the switching!
Interesting Operation
Nice action you caught there! Fun to watch.
Thanks!
Excellent video! Almost like model railroading ;)
Thank a lot!
From the vantage point of looking down at the little 35 tonner working. It reminds me of the little HO Hustler locomotive I had on my first model RR layout.
Interesting video. Really liked the closing view of elevator alley from above!! Thanks.
Interesting video, gotta love those 'ol Tonners. Makes me curious why the switcher just didn't pull the sting of hoppers next to the elevator through the crossover to the other track and then push one car at a time through the shed? hmm
They're probably just used to doing things that way. Trucks also use the unloader to get unloaded, so that's probably why they push one car in at a time. More often than not, they'll be chock full with loaded hoppers which block the crossover, which would partially explain why they use the 3-way switch instead.
Nice drone work. Need to run but will finish out watching tonight
Thanks!
Nice video Matty! I got a little yard switching action in my video from today finally!
Thanks man, right on!
Model rairoaders take note...look at how grubby and stained the asphalt gets. Standing and drying water are also interesting features
That critter goes against the grain
At least the video wasn't grainy 😎
Nice drone shots; works really well on switching operations. I'd like to try one of those critters; tried an S-4, pretty straight-forward.
I thought that little 35 tonner was only handling one grainer at a time. I was certainly surprised seeing it pulling 4 of them. Great video.
The old girl's tougher than she looks! Thanks!
The industrial GE's are geared really low. So they can muscle quite a bit of weight around.
