    Can't believe you're still passionate about it after all these years. Your tt Saleen from fastlane is what inspired me to turbo my 03 mach 1. What a project but worth every penny and drop of sweat. Thanks for keeping these sn95/new edges running strong on the streets

    Great job man, I just put a TKX in my blown 96 Cobra, that was interesting. I also used the mag pickup that comes on the TKX and got an Abbott ERA to calibrate the speedo.

    • @98saleen
      @98saleen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Yes I'm still tweaking the Abbott ERA in my TTSaleen. It's close but now I have to adjust the settings in my handheld tuner and I think I'll have it perfect.

    • @bchaveezy
      @bchaveezy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@98saleen With the Abbott ERA you can get it perfect, there are almost infinite settings but they are not all shown on the paperwork. For example, if you have it set at divisor 6 and it's close, have someone pace you or get a cop to use a radar/gps or whatever, take the delta, 53mph actually doing 55mph, call Abbot, they can calculate the exact setting to give you so that it's spot on. Doing it in two different places could cause an issue down the road.

    Look at all those street cars! These last two videos will be helpful, since I am going from a th400 to a t56 magnum in my Cobra. Any plans on going stand-alone ecu on the Saleen?

    • @98saleen

      Yes. I will be putting a Holley Terminator X ECU into the TTSaleen later on so I can run larger injectors and convert to E85.

    Hey what long tubes are on the Mach? I have same car and just purchased kooks 1” 3/4 LT and I’m reading I may have a steering shaft clearance issues. They suggested flaming river shaft but I would prefer the maximum motor sports shaft if I’m going with an aftermarket steering shaft. Thanks in advance

    Love your car man. Makes me wanna do something to mine. I was wondering what you think I should do to my Mach 1. I’d like a safe build for a stock transmission. I think the max torque it can take is 400 lb ft if I remember correctly. What are your thoughts? Thanks

    • @98saleen
      @98saleen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A supercharger upgrade such as Procharger or Vortech would give a great power increase along with full headers and exhaust along with rear gears (3.73) and you'd have a solid combo that would keep that trans alive. Just get a good clutch!

    • @ssholed
      @ssholed 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@98saleen that’d probably be my best bet so I’ll have to agree with you. I’ve been wanting 3.73 gears for a while now. I’ve got an aluminum drive shaft, stage 2 clutch, short throw shifter, steel subframe connectors, traction bars, and a 93 tune. I’m looking for a little more. Thanks for your thoughts.

    my brothers did a t56 swap and we got it in the car ourselves. besides that we here chirping from inside tranny it seems and a whirring noise from inside the cab any idea what it could be

    • @98saleen
      @98saleen  ปีที่แล้ว

      The chirping noise could be the release bearing (throwout bearing) on the input shaft that your clutch fork is attached to. If you barely press down on the clutch pedal, does the chirping noise go away? If so, it is the release bearing making that noise. The whirring noise inside the transmission may just be normal, but what kind of fluid are you using in it? I like using Valvoline Dex/Merc non-synthetic. www.txdrivetrain.com/fluid-type-transmission-tremec-t56-tr6060-faq/

    Where is the engagement point? Close to the floor or like all the way to the top?

    • @98saleen
      @98saleen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I adjust mine to release right at mid-point off floor. But with an adjustable cable and firewall adjuster, you can adjust this to the spot that fits your driving style best.

      I've got a bunch of money invested in it (as you probably know if you watch my video series on it). New paint/decals, built engine with billet rods, ported heads, cams, fuel system, suspension, brakes, etc, etc. It's super nice and one of my favorite builds to date. Does everything well but I've never had it on a racetrack. It's easily a low 10 second 1/4 mile car and maybe a high 9 second car on a good track with a good driver. If you need a price point to start thinking about, I would consider selling it for around $35K. But cash in hand-in person talks. If you want to discuss further I can shoot you my cell number. Thanks. Ryan
