The last time I watched a video with GSP being mentioned was when poppt had mostly 10mil GSP and he was top of elite smash.

How I feel watching any under dogs video..
Because online doesn't support reactive players, so players who flail with decent frame rate, early killing characters, will have much higher gsp.
I have no tech skills, only character knowledge and that got me to elite smash with everyone easily except bayo and ken. But I refuse to play anymore at high gsp because everyone leverages the lag and plays unreactable(only online) projectile characters. Don't look down at yourself for not having high gsp.
Regarding the 2mil gsp guy, when I first got the game I had a strict nat type cause my internet wasn’t very good even plugged in and the meta was completely different! for whatever reason I was down around 1-2 mil gsp and breaking even
But I played on my friends game a couple weeks later with high gsp and was able to win almost every game
(Your nat type determines who you are matched with in general)

2mil GSP only has two types of players. It's either 1st time holding a controller walking around doing nothing. Or the most insane fox you've ever seen in your life doing jab resets and SH bair at ledge.

5:56 Jordan says that Brazil might have lower level gameplay but in both latin America and southern America fighting games are INCREDIBLY popular so the average skill level is actually higher.
Not going to be that elaborate with my comment but here we go:
1. 7.2 mil, point for Poppt. Close one 😣
2. 11.1 mil, point for editor. Was waffling between that and 11.4 but it didn’t matter 😅
3. 12 mil, point for me. Honestly I would have said less if those two didn’t go so high because I could tell Poppt was overestimating them
4. 11.8 mil, point for me. The other player was so much worse that I’m confident that’s out of date but still.
5. 11.3 mil, point for editor. Unless that’s a typo for 12.17 mil but for the sake of argument I’ll take that at face value.
6. 10.6 mil, point for editor. Why is Kraw so good at this?
7. How am I supposed to guess the GSP in a game with TWO zero-to-deaths?! Well, um, 11.8 mil? FREAKING WHAT?! Well, point for me I guess.
Score is three points for me, three for Kraw, and one for poor Poppt1. Because I’m pretty sure that the ones I got right were much further off than then both I declare the winner to be Kraw, good game.

I once saw a Diddy in the depths of 2mil GSP that was so good he absolutely obliterated me with banana combos and spikes galore. The whole system is fucked beyond imagination
Man if this a sign for other series that you’ve done before making a brief resurgence I’m super psyched for it. Honestly your lil series that you had in the channel is what made me come back time and time again back then. Also wouldn’t mind if you tackled more competitive stuff again, watching the stream where you gave your thoughts during genesis was really neat and I even got a few tips from it despite me being hella washed and kinda on hiatus on competitive smash

I love that now you also give some advice. Having even just a tip or two about your personal gamestyle in specific can really open a world of improvement, if you can ask yourself the right questions based on that. I hope people will enjoy that as much as their gamestyle can benefit from that. It costs nothing and it really helps much.
Hi Jordan, I’ve actually been watching your JP channel for learning Japanese and it’s going great and I appreciate the smash content in Japanese, plus I get to learn it while watching my favourite Smash TH-camr!
15:08 The reason for this is the starting point for elite is like 4-5 mil (may have gone up), and there are a lot of players in places that have many, many players that dropped due to bad matchups or dropping way back in the past, and now the good players are from 2.5-4 mil (obviously there are bad players there too), then there's a lot of new players, and then obviously the amount of good players goes up. Also the reason Poppt said is also true.
As someone at that level, I can confirm that people at 2 mil gsp are actually pretty good.

I am grateful for the lucina tips, and I shall work on that. Also seeing Poppt hype up at 2:27 was pretty nice. (Also like 10% of my f smashes were supposed to be drop down to fair or just f tilt I suck)
Oh and the final smash thing is my thing, I just think they're cool, plus I need my own comeback mechanic since I do be a Lucina player
@@ochako_gamingYour comeback mechanic is edgegaurding. Lucina is a fantastic character and incredibly easy. Work on your spacing, get comfortable going off stage and work on your movement. Your approaches are very predictable. Try short hops In neutral, it makes you less predictable.
@@ochako_gamingalso consider dash in grabs. Its something you never see outside elite smash so most people hold sheild when you approach.

Nah that DK being at 12.2 is wild. And regarding is that krool better than the DK, the krool has never teched in his life. I love these vids though, this is definitely one of my favorite series on the channel!

@@samiamstudios he isn't wrong. Poppt gave some good tips for you... Focus on those for now. Try to capitalize more on your cargo throws (I'll show you how later in this message). Use more dash attacks and bairs in general. Learn how to turn around cancel, it's crucial for our game plan.
For cargo throw: if you jump before leaving stage, forward cargo throw. If you fall down, down cargo throw (but wait a bit longer, know how long you can wait in order to recover). If you are on a platform or in the middle of the map jump and back cargo throw.

bro that cloud that vs gannon was a paid actor. i main ganon and cloud is a nightmare matchup, cloud can just mash buttons on your shield for free and if you even sneeze on a clouds shield you will get fucked up.

Hey poppt I only started watching your channel recently, so I've never seen this series before, but I have to say, please make more cus it's incredibly entertaining
I've taken a break from playing smash as often as I used to spend time focusing of other aspects of my life, but since you've been uploading more smash, your videos have motivated me to play more smash and to get back in the swing of things. So thanks Poppt for motivating me to do what makes me happy I guess 👍

GSP just proves you know bread and butters or play campy. I have played both ways to get every character into elite. Only campy with characters I really sucked at like peach and bayo.

The reason for being good at 2mil could be that they lost a lot when they started, because this matchmaking is absolute ass, but then they slowly improved, only gsp is not that generously while going up.
Personally I still have a couple 3-4 mil fighters, and even though I don't know those fighters that well, but my general knowledge and gamesense got way better.
This whole gsp system is crap tbh.

When you have that bad GSP (2.17 guy) maybe he hasn't unlocked all characters, and that's a matter to have so low GSP too
