    Saw a small peek of my mom's old house off Shipyard Road in Rothesay. I'm born and raised, still living in Rothesay. We fortunately still have well water. We have had a few families from Ontario move into our neighborhood. It has made me take a second look at our home town, and SJ too, of just how much we really do need to appreciate where we live. I'm like you too, that I appreciate how much the Bay of Fundy regulates the temperatures. Thanks for all you are doing to provide such detailed tours of our area and surrounding towns.

      p.s. That's not a restaurant and lounge at the Rothesay Yacht Club. Strictly for members only unfortunately. It would be a wonderful place for a river side restaurant thought.

    Hello Les & Wendy, I am not sure how many people watch your video from Africa, but I am watching it from Zambia in Southern Africa. We intend to come to NB very soon as our relatives are there in Moncton. This video of Rothesay has compelled me to think again on my plans to settle down in Moncton. :-) Awesome. Thank you very much for taking us around on your drives! Keep up the great work!

    When we first moved to Saint John in the 70s, my parents rented a house on Kane Rd, which is directly ahead and to the right of where this video begins. In the winter we used to snowmobile on the frozen river. I was in the first graduating class at KVHS in 1976. This area was known as Gondola Point back then. Btw, the correct pronunciation in this context is not the expected GON-do-la; it is gon-DOE-la, with the accent on the second syllable. Now you know. :-)

    Have you done the world's longest covered bridge yet ? I have pictures of my parents there in 1952 on their honeymoon , so my wife and I went there 3 years ago and did the same , we stopped in the middle of the bridge and kissed , then posed for a picture that matched my parent's picture , what a great memory , and then of course , we're stupid tourists , so we went to gravity hill too LOL

    You may not know the answer to these questions one thing I've noticed a high number of vacant houses for sale.
    The other question is the brain disease they don't know what's causing it have you heard anything about that.

    • @WeLoveSaintJohn
      @WeLoveSaintJohn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vacant houses are most likely former rentals our multi family homes. There were many years where more people moved out than into New Brunswick. The brain disease is a mystery to everyone but has not affected anyone in this area. It's been concentrated around Moncton and Miramichi in the east of the province.
