I sold a legendary cougar not knowing it was a thing. I was fulminating thinking the mistake won’t ever be repaired but now I know it respawns thank you for your video
Thank you for your comment! Stuff like that happens and is no problem, over time you will sell a lot of legendaries if they are smaller than your trophy. Most legendary specimen give decent credits so it is not a bad thing to sell one at the beginning of the game when you need credits for essential gear and stuff.
I lost a legendary dear to a bug and than the game crashed on me to and it was forever lost, but u gave me hope, hope that i will find a new one a better one.
Thanks for the video. I just bagged my 2nd Legendary - a bison. It was actually really hard not to sell it with over 10,000 credits on offer for but even harder was the fact that it was about 100kg lighter than the trophy i already had! I kept it though :) thanks for sharing
Thank you for your comment! It always depends on how deep you want to go down the rabbit hole. If it's just about legendary trophies for the lodge it's pretty easy, keep what you find. However, if you want all the animals as mature and heavy as possible legendary trophies, I would rather recommend selling smaller animals until you find a large one, since you won't get credits when you replace them later.
It doesn't matter whether you sell them or turn them into a trophy. The important point is that you have to claim 5 animals of a species at the main cabin so that they count for your profile and unlock the legendaries.
Very useful video. I have watched some videos of people getting very close to an animal without spooking it, how is that possible because when I approach one it is spooked pretty quickly. Is it only the clothes and scent killers or there is something else?
Thank you for your comment! There are several factors involved. Visibility of the clothing, wind direction and noise. Clothing with low visibility makes it easier, and the scentblocker helps sneaking up when the wind is not good. There is also Windpowder to determine the wind direction, but I never use it because I need the inventory slots for other equipment. In dense vegetation it is also slightly easier to get close to the animals. The most important thing in my opinion is to make as little noise as possible when getting closer to the prey.
Thank you for your comment! I got this question quite often recently, and I´m working on a video on that topic right now. (You can check my community posts, I posted some updates on what I found) It´s been a while since I hunted in Harghita County myself, but I don´t think that anything was changed in the game because development and support were dropped with the Rangers Life DLC a long time ago. After inspecting the issue I can say that the location still works, but I also had some weird problems with not spawning animals. I´ll need some time to finish the video, and I´m not completely sure yet what exactly is the problem. But I think that I may have a solution to solve it, I just need to do more tests and need some time for editing.
How can i tell if the legendary animals in my lodge are matures or not. Is there a certain age bracket for matures. I know when you bag them in the feild it tell you whether they are young adult or mature but once they are in the lodge it only gives years of age . I dont remember the classification of the trophies when they were bagged in the field. I have filled my entire lodge with all of the legendary animals except the rabbits and hares just by following the advice on your videos. I now want to make sure all of my teophies are mature but agsin I dont know the age that mature animals must be. Thanks for everything.
The game unfortunately doesn't provide particularly detailed statistics in the lodge, so that's a problem at this point. I also don't know the exact age range for all species. When I did the mature replacement, I looked at the claim screens of all the legendaries in my recorded footage to check which ones weren't mature. For everything with antlers it is relatively easy to recognize if they are young or adult, but for something like the small predators the difference between adult and mature is hardly visible.
If I remember correctly, the legendary patch was released on all platforms at the same time in December 2020. With exception of the Nintendo Switch, which I believe got the update in March or April 2021. It should be the same game everywhere now, besides the graphics.
Thank you for your comment! In my experience, it is quite rare that you don't find anything. Now and then it happens, in these cases I change the timeslot and start a few rounds on other maps. Then I change the timeslot again to the time at which I actually want to hunt. I can't say if this is a bug, it happens occasionally as I said, but not very often. Mostly I find quite a lot animals in HS2, even if not necessarily always the ones I am looking for.
Thank you for your comment! If no vital organ was hit, animals survive the shot and limp away. They may die from it at some point, but I haven't seen that happen yet.
Hey! In this video I used the Sako 85 Bavarian in caliber .338 version. Way too strong for small roe deer, but since there's not much difference between the calibers anyway, it doesn't really matter in HS2.

I replaced all my legendary trophies at least once, most of them more than once. It's not a big deal if you lose one every now and then.

Could you make a video talk about the best locations for some of these animals
Preferably bighorn cougar and elk (Pawnee meadows)
Interesting idea, I will think about it.

@@Thund3rtheHunter Thanks for the reply, I'm going to implement these tips in my gameplay.
I wanted to ask i played it for a hour and dont see a single deer. Is possible that they changed the spawner?

I have a question do animals despawn when you return to the lodge
Thank you for your comment!
Yes, when you return to the lodge the map resets and you get a new animal spawn in your next hunt.
