    I will admit one thing, the beats you made were great. one of the reasons I purchased this one after watching this video. It really seemed like this machine made creating music easy. I'm looking forward to playing with mine. Keep up the good work Ricky!

    What a great module. So obviously useful yet comprehensible and apparently easy to use. I use a Mordax Data as my main clock source and been thinking about getting Pam's to free it up for other uses + I need more modulation so been eying Batumi for some time to. A combination of these two would be and do more but Mastro might give me what I need and bring a more hands on playable solution.

    I saw the video manual on Acid Rain's product page and immediately thought this would be a killer interface for the BIA, then I load up your video and see the case and watch you demonstrate it and remove any doubt.

  • @BrandonAaskov
    @BrandonAaskov 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just realized that if you're driving the Palette 62 with a Digitakt, you have access to MIDI trigs. So you could drop the Steppy, and get either a Quadratt or Duatt for attenuation, possibly even space for the Digiverb. I know you can attenuate with the Lapsus Os as well, and that thing is a great module for the Palette 62 The more I play with my palette, the more I see it like a friend to the Digitakt's MIDI tracks. In short, like you I think this size/format is a great groove box but I think if you consider it as always traveling with a Digitakt, it takes on a whole new shape/purpose.

    Man when I first saw the channel I saw the last name was "Tinez" so I was thinking this guy must be really into electric pianos, I kept waiting for a Rhodes solo or some funky Wurlitzer chords to come up but it was all just synths and drum machines. Finally clicked when I heard your full name enough times. Great informative content! Jah bless!

    Dope module and presentation! Say, are these waves bi-polar and can you switch them to uni-polar? What are the voltage ranges? Seems like this module would pair great with Noise Engineering gear but it would be too much of a pain to offset that many channels to get them in range. Shame about the lack of attenuators as well, but I guess I could pair it with the ET Levit8 module..

      @@fts4life hey Ryan from Acid Rain here lurking the comments ;P - the outputs of Maestro are switchable between 0V to 5V and -5V to +5V with the "bipolar" button (it's actually really fun to live play this button while patched to an input that can take bipolar, swinging the modulation into negative intermittently)

    • @xnflg3074
      @xnflg3074 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sewerslvt is probably mostly VST/software based right? I really like the newest EP a lot (even though the person behind the project is highly-questionable in terms of being a decent person), but the music on it seems way too clean-cut for any kind of hardware-based performance. A lot of the big reverb-y sounds on the new EP seem extremely digital, honestly.

    That thing is cool. I will never understand why so few LFO modules don’t come with attenuators. Their missing the boat with not being able to effect the phase. It is kinda like a knob per function PAM though PAM can do more.

    • @acidraintechnology8913
      @acidraintechnology8913 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      So I read your comment and started thinking about phase....there's actually is a sneaky hack to adjust the phase of a maestro channel by using one shot mode, and then driving the trigger input with another maestro channel with a chain of low and high waveforms. Say the first channel is 1/2 down ramp, the driving channel could be a 1/8 chain of low, high, low, low which would offset the phase 90 degrees. Low, low, high, low would offset 180, and low, low, low, high would offset 270. These chains could be stored in channel memory and recalled as well! I know this is probably super confusing in text, I'll make sure to make a video explaining it :)

      It depends, if I'd want to jam out Samples and Drums with great live implementation, awesome sound, etc. - Digitakt all the way. If you want a DAWlike multifunction midi beast sequencer, MPC1000... After I got my Digitakt, my MPC1000 started to collect dust, sold it, never looked back. Digitakt is so much more fun, direkt, inspiring and simply makes so much sense. IMHO

Not one of your better videos. Hard to follow what you was doing. Maybe spend more time with it first, collect your thoughts, then do your video. Just a little constructive feedback. Most all your videos I really like, this one not so much. Sorry

    Yikes. That thing is clunky and pricey. At first glance, thought it was a matrix interface for assigning lfos. Nope. Then thought it must have a bunch of lfo shapes. Nope. Tempo driven lfos are great but Id prefer to spend the money on a couple modules that offer more advanced features.
