You had me at hexatonic. But then 6/8 came to town. I love the laid back feel of that groove you played at that slow tempo, really sweet stuff. I wonder if it still holds up at a faster tempo, it seems like it might lose the magic but perhaps not. I will have to try it because of why not. Great lesson 👍

Hopefully this question makes sense: When I’m improvising over any progression and I hit the 1 of the chord I can’t run away from it in any type of “interesting” way. Basically playing the one freezes my brain and/or my leaving the one gets redundant. Thoughts on this? Cheers.

    • @StichMethodGuitar

Welcome to the dark side Luke...
May the Major blues be with you....
Personally I prefer Major blues over minor blues, It's probably because of all the time I spent learning my first scale..the Major one..with 7 notes not 5...Why start your life in note poverty..? (Got one of them book things from a library..and fines coz I never took the bloody things back when I should've..)
The rest came later a bit at a time..as is the way of things.
When I did get round to minor blues ..it just didn't sound as bluesy to me...still doesn't.
Gotta get your tone right though I found..
In fact I spend most of my time in a Major scale of one sort or another.
And I think Major blues has a better groove to it..
I look at it this way..you can be depressed or just a bit fed up..In a Major way.
Plus it seems most channels chuck the minor pentatonic at everyone for just about everything..and then so many people don't know how to make it a Major pentatonic..Let alone Major blues.
I get sick of hearing that bloody minor pentatonic..
Which is a shame because there's so much music in Major you miss out on.
    Is it difficult.?
    No.
Stich just explained it in 15 minutes..
It took me flamin' years to figure out..!!
