Looking good J and i don't see the docking as a problem and i don't think the solar panels will be much of a problem either. We all want solar power for our space bases and then we have to live with big solar arrays or such.
We heavily use a lot of LCD screens to see the various container contents and manage automation using the LCD Scripts from ASTIC - we typically dedicate a room to that purpose able to fit 20 or more screens, would be nice to see a big crew room we could repurpose for this - progress looks fantastic, well done!
Looking at the solar panels, they may also make good parking spaces for Helios modules that you don't need access to (like additional storage modules, or parking for drop ships you're currently not using, etc). Just use the panel wall as the front docking mount (leaving room for entrance/exit) and you can stack 4 underneath it. With the modules parked there it may look more balanced. Also a reminder that I posted that "Textured Growing Plots" blueprint that allows you to use any texture with growing plots, if you did want to use the back of the landing pad as the farm. I can even show you how to add texture lines to the growplots if you want. Though it's not a bad idea to have the split farm area anyway, I think you'll have plenty of room.
what if you add a module bay on the bottom facing up behind the solar arrays? It might give you a bit more framework to pull the panel arrays together. I think you should hold back a bit on those LCDs on the top, keep it a bit simpler, like you expect a CV there, and focus on the interior for beautification. The outside is already really interesting and different. I like having the various sizes of interior pads. Thanks Jeff!
I'm also not really a fan of the solar panel arrangement but it's just hard to do that unfortunately. The thing that's throwing me off is that they're not centered, it gets my ocd going haha 😅 also J please PLEASE consider making this an MCRN space station. Humans have so many already and kriel/skaar is out of the question. It doesn't look very imperial either imo so mcrn would be a perfect fit i think :)
reducing the carbon cost could be good since a higher iron and titanium count isn't really an issue for most players. coring even an early game POI and knocking it down can yield tens of thousands of plates of both variety that can get jammed into the bp factory
I think the Helios, especially the MSC2 newer one are 3-4 times wider than the stations hangar. It can do pretty much do SV's/HV's, and maybe some small CV's. It station would need scaled up a lot to fit those ships. And thanks again!
I am not 100% sure. At this point I have another est 6 hours to put in it since it was updated on todays video 8/22/2024. I want to bring it in game for just a bit before I put it on the workshop to see if some issues happen that I don't know about now. I may get this out over the weekend, maybe. And thanks again!
Your station looks great! It need a bar. Gotta have Quark passing out drinks!

It olny needs a spot to park the Makar.😋 Looking Awsome
Woah coming along nicely!
Having the grow plots to the sides makes sense regardless, otherwise you may have a crowding issue as you enter the area. Looking 👍😊
Looks amazing! You keep pushing the envelope don’t cha 😊.
Nice!
Looking better and better. I am excited!!

Looks slick, Jeff! Keep up the good work.
Well Done Jeff, just Subbed!!
Looking good JR
Looking very good w/ the Trim and texture on Jeff, great work.
I just saw the thumbnail and thought: Wow!!! Great Work!🎉
Don't forget about repair bay!

Instead of putting the LCD panels on top, maybe put them on the bottom to 'mirror' the solar, which could solve the symmetry issue
question: would the Helios carrier fit to enter inside the station or isn't the opening wide enough?

How long till it's ready? :)
