Hey I am going to study Quantative Biology. A minor part of that degree is Bioinformatics, the majority is traditional biology. I fear I am not going to be qualified enough in data science. What would you recommand me to get more proficient in the area of informatics?
Volunteering or interning in research projects is the best way of getting experience. Computer science and programming can mostly be learnt online, have a chat to your lecturers to see what resources they recommend first? Most scientists I know would appreciate this kind of attitude and you’ll stand out from the crowd
