Hello? I am going to take my test this week in sacrament with American Red Cross. In the study guide it says I will only be performing the shaded steps which include: perform opening procedure, 2. gather belt, 3. Apply belt, 9.securely fastened belt snugly around residents waist, 11. Maintain secure, underhand grasp to hold belt, using 2 hands at al times, 18. Closing procedure. I am so confused on what I should do? I pretend I lift the manikin? Then I perform my closing procedure? Do I then verbalize what I would do next or? Because it says lift and closing procedure which i am confused? Just pretend to lift and then put them back onto the chair? is it going to be chair or wheelchair? Do I have to put shoes on? I hope you can really answer, I really have hope. :( thank u

@@sk-st7zl In the Red Cross Exam Study Guide for Skill #5 Step 3 states "Apply belt and make all belt adjustments while resident seated on bed or lying in bed." I guess that means it's okay the way she did it here, but the way you were taught would be okay too.

I think it’s wrong way to hold, Because I always hold at the back of belt 😊
