Techno is a genre on its own wich is more close to house than anything else. It has the same groove as house but it's often darker, more sci-fi and industrial sounding (listen to some Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May, pretty much the fathers of techno music). Trance originated in Europe (Germany, Italy so on) and trance music borrows a lot more from other genres mainly house and techno but also classical pieces and such. This song is typical Trance music since we who are old enough to live in those times remember how trance took over the world after Robert Miles released Children together with other trance classics.
Used to love trance back in the day but feel currently trance is pretty bad so I switched over to techno and never looked back hehe. Just saw Derrick may like you said with matrixxman a bit ago hehe
I USED 2 DJ myself (Trance/Hardhouse) but now focus on CREATING tunes and USUALLY more 'chilled versions' I've ALWAYS been a major fan of Jarre and THIS D E F I N I T E L Y does this justice!!!!!!!!
