      Muchas gracias Juan.

      Thank you so much Fakhri.
      I love calligraphy!! Do you have your work online? Would love to see it.
      The machine I'm using in this video is a Razertip.
      I ordered it from an online store in the UK because of the European voltage (220-240). The place from where I've ordered it no longer exists.
      I now use an Optima 1 Single Burner machine. I feel that it is much better than the Razertip.
      More power, better pens and cords.
      You can take a look here:

      Thank you so much for your comment.

    Awesome work! I'm guessing you set the temperature quite low so the paper doesn't catch fire? I have a pretty simple machine - it has interchangeable tips, but no temperature adjustment. It says that the working temperature is about 250 - 300 degrees Celsius, which I guess is way too hight for doing any work on paper.

    • @richypyrography
      @richypyrography  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much. In fact, the temperature used on paper (like watercolor paper / 300g) is the same as used in some types of wood (the softer ones). You can try in a piece of scrap paper first to see how it works. That temperature don't seem to be very high. At least the Razertip machine goes up to 750ºC at temperature level 10.

      Thanks a lot for the information! I have a couple of sheets of some really heavy cardstock on which I will try it out. I don't know the exact paper weight, but the sheets are around 3mm thick, so I'm guessing over 400/450g. I saw in your latest video, that you have the machine set at levels between 5 and 5.5, which should then result something like 375-400ºC? I should be safe with 250-300ºC then. Thanks again for sharing your skills and knowledge!

    I use the regular pyrography pens that you get from Michaels or Hobby Lobby that have the brass Leaf tip and other kinds of little patterns butt I always wanted a pyrography pen like the one you're using. are you able to adjust the heat temperature? and what is your input on the quality of the pen that I'm using compared to yours? I wish I could upload a picture and show you the one that I have but I can't

    • @richypyrography
      @richypyrography  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Gerardo. Yes, this is a Razertip SS D10. It has interchangeable pens and tips and temperature adjustment. It's an expensive machine but a very good one. I had other ones but I think this one is the best. If you can't or don't want to spend a lot of money right now you can buy the Walnut Hollow versa-tool. It's cheap and has temperature control. Give it a try if you can or search for it on youtube and google to see if you like it.
      You can send me the picture to my email: rjlccoelho@gmail.com

    Your drawings seem to be very precise. Are you doing them and then transferring them to what you're burning on or drawing them directly on the piece? And if you're transferring them, are you using graphite paper?

    • @richypyrography
      @richypyrography  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Christine. I transfer them to the piece with carbon paper.
      I've tried graphite paper but didn't like it. I prefer carbon. It's harder to erase but doesn't blur.

    • @ising4jesus2001
      @ising4jesus2001 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      What are you using to erase the lines? I've been using graphite and I've still not come up with a really good way to remove the lines.

    Richy, parabéns| Eu não consigo encontrar no meu país este tipo de ponta para pyrography. Saberia me informar como consigo adquirir um pyrography igual ao seu? Teria alguma possibilidade de alguém me enviar o aparelho com as pontas? Eu faço o depósito se for o caso. Por favor, alguém pode me ajudar? Grata, Izaura

      @@richypyrography Moro no Brasil. Pude verificar que não adianta adquirir pontas importadas, há necessidade igualmente do aparelho pyrography, porque as pontas não se adaptam ao meu. Se puder me ajudar encontrar um aparelho cujas pontas correspondam com bom sombreamento eu agradeço porque no meu país temos somente as pontas de arame de níquelcromo. Muito gentil de sua parte. Obrigada pela ajuda.

      Izaura, no Brasil tem 2 grandes marcas:
      • A Palante que é mais antiga
      • A Piromaster que é mais recente mas com equipamentos que parecem promissores. Não sei se já estão disponíveis, mas penso que sim.
      Depois tem marcas, maioritariamente, Americanas.
      Eu tenho duas delas:
      • Razertip
      • Optima 1
      A Optima 1 seria o meu conselho por ser melhor e mais barata. O problema para si é o de que eles só fazem canetas já com as pontas soldadas. Ou seja, tem sempre que comprar a caneta e a ponta em conjunto porque não podem ser mudadas.
      Mesmo assim acho que vale a pena.
      Deixo o link do site deles:
      www.carvertools.com
      Espero que isto ajude.
      Fale diretamente com as marcas. Não transfira dinheiro para ninguém Izaura.
      Também pode mandar email, se precisar:

      MrZona93 obrigado. Aprendi sim. Tirei curso de artes. Mas os desenhos que uso não são meus. São estilos muito diferentes. Não conseguiria fazer coisas tão diferentes. São imagens do Google.

      Hi Gayle.
      I bought my machine, tips and pens in the UK:
      www.woodworkscraftsupplies.co.uk/pyrography-equipment-c-72_453.html
      These two tips I used here are handmade by myself.
      It's a shader spoon and a writing nib.
