Thank you again for your excellent coverage of this difficult and sad situation. Many people are confused by this, but as a SAR first responder it takes time and is hard work, be patient and appreciate the people willing to do this work.
Can you maybe show your canines some love, appreciation or encouragement? And protective gear like boots or something. They are being exposed to so many chemicals and glass etc. I get how traumatic and taxing it has been for y’all but these pups deserve love, care and appreciation. All you S&R people are hero’s…thank you.
Wish I would have seen protective boots on those dog's feet. In all the other videos I've seen around there, the dogs all had protective booties of some sort. There are just too many toxic things in that ash, then there is glass, nails, and so on that could be dangerous to those sweet, hardworking dogs. The people working and the dogs have a very hard, stressful job. Bless and keep all of them safe!
Hard to believe embers came off the bare bluff and dropped perfectly and took out so many houses like they were carpet bombed. .. I think there's a little more to this story than what we're being told. ... excellent footage.... thank you.
The 70 to 100 mph winds is all it takes... one house goes up and the radiant heat alone ignites the 2 on both sides. I can tell you having been in a workplace fire and receiving 2nd degree burns needing grafts on my arm- a fire the size of a fireplace around an electric motor catching the chipboard wall by it was all it took to give my arm holding a fire extinguisher 8 feet away 2nd degree burns. Radiant heat alone from a house fire ignites curtains hanging inside the next door neighbor's homes' windows, or their vinyl (plastic) siding, wood siding, or anything else flammable, you cant even get near the house on fire like they were with flames coming out the windows and roof.
@@HobbyOrganist Thank you. My only fear while working as a flight attendant was an in-cabin fire up at altitude. (And sharks in a ditching). Had a candle burst into flames right in front of me a few months ago…and put it out with a fire blanket …I was surprised at how hot a 3” W X 12” tall flame could be. Anyway it seems as though they are looking for someone listed as missing. How very sad.
It's almost always the people who know the least that criticize the most. Heavy equipment isn't brought in until problems, such as lithium batteries, remains, etc. are identified and marked or removed. It was obvious that about 20:50 they found something or someone, and the searchers were told to step back and the supervisors had to document it.
At least newsom is on top of things, already talking (gleefully) about the land being purchased and developed. All while homes are still smoldering and people are missing. It’s like a scene out of a horror movie watching him smiling on camera in front of still burning homes.
Remove the giant stuff. Then remove the really big stuff. Then the big stuff, then clear the area. Have hazmat teams at each stage. Send the lookyLew bureaucrats back to the office. This is hard work for which they are unsuited.
It’s sooo amazing watching these well trained cadaver dogs!! I just hope they have protective boots on their paws while searching through the rubble!! ❤
You HAVE heard of assembling the work crew all together and briefing them as a GROUP when EVERYONE is there, haven't you? They could have been told to be there at 10 AM and the video was filmed at 9:30
they have an address, a name, a burned down house - what do you think that implies? It's been quite some time and someone has not surfaced. Everyone is working, maybe not at the split second of recording time but all day long.
Holy Quran (57:1) All that is in the heavens and the earth extols the glory of Allah. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. (57:2) His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death, and He has power over everything.
Presumably they have the addresses related to person reported still missing, because it does not make any sense to search every pile of rubble. As a dog breeder of 40+ yrs I am appalled that the dogs have no protection for their feet. Even hot sand can burn their pads plus there will be glass , metal chards and hazardous substances in there that can be absorbed through their pads.
Steel beams can bend when exposed to a house fire it happens all the time. Don’t get the rust connection to microwave. Bare steal will start to rust immediately regardless of what caused it to become bare especially with saltwater that is in the air.
Probably, the relatives lost someone and raised the alarm. And rescuers began a search operation. God grant that the dog finds as few "surprises" as possible.
Can't the dogs be fitted with booties to protect from lacerations. It's obvious they can't use respirators or goggles and they are a tool but darn lot of wreckage round there. They are no good if they can't walk. Good luck in the search. R IP
I see little point in these efforts. So many people could certainly do more useful things than standing around or pick through the rubble. Putting it away would definitely be helpful. And why so much laughter?
Hi. Do you have any footage of Big Rock? I wonder what happened there. I'll never forget the 1993 fire there. 32 years later, and it sadly burned down again.
While watching these men with poles there’s so much debris n twisted metal heavier equipment needs to meticulously lift n move weighty objects to search underneath! These structures weren’t small cabins; they were alot of steel n concrete!!!😮

Cause that never happens anywhere else give me a break
You don't have a fvcking idea what they make. And who appointed YOU their supervisor?
The dogs doing the work
I am surprised that the dogs are not wearing paw protection. It is a sad but necessary job to search for the deceased.
They make little boots ,thats sad. A nail or glass can easily puncture, I’ve seen it with cattle.
Government workers don’t care?
And some water and shadow.... 😮😮
Those guys love those dogs. They ain't gonna let anything happen to them.
They arent going to find anyone, people left.

More watchers than workers, and no machines. Never a good sign.
The smell of death. Never a good sign.
They need some heavy equipment to pick up heavy items to enable them to look underneath! This is a waste of time money n manpower!!

Get those dogs some paw booties, or at least make them some from some provided protective gear!

I agree with your ideas!! Using picks isn’t going to do much of anything!!
This is just how they start, cursory inspection to see if the dogs hit, later the full deconstruction of the debris.
It’s sooo amazing watching these well trained cadaver dogs!! I just hope they have protective boots on their paws while searching through the rubble!! ❤
If they don’t, they haven’t learned much over the years. I’m guessing they wouldn’t let their kids run around there without shoes.😢
What are they poking into the debris to find? Did the dogs give signals that something was there?
All of these videos I see tons of uniformed people standing around doing nothing, with just a few actually working. What's up with that?

A long line seems pointless. The dogs are trained in obedience. The long line just serves as a snag hazard.
He put that doggie in the back of his truck right in the sun without even a drink.
Is there someone missing that lived in these homes?
One would assume so.
That’s the purpose of the cadaver dogs!

I totally agree with you; WTH is wrong with their handlers? They need to remove their boots n walk on all that dangerous debris!! 🥵🤬
Those fires must have been abnormally HOT to bend steel I beams like that... and to rust like that has to be an electrical microwave type of heat.

lotsa standing around

What are they doing with the sticks?
Prodding the area before they step there for safety.
Looking busy... they wont find anyone or anything.... just a fact... but it gives the appearance handling the situation... sad... many many questions.
Probably checking to see if anything is under the sand, like you see them do when looking for people under a snow avalanche.

Were the blue garbage cans there during the fire or were they just put their?
I saw lots of garbage can that did not burn in videos of the Alemeda area which were blue, black, and green in color.
Usually in these situations this dog and human probing will be followed by the excavator, also slowly, while looking for remains.

Coastal commission will make it nearly impossible for them to rebuild.
