I don’t think it’s called “insectophobia” but same! I’ve always wanted to make a soft, leafy den with elements of the forest covering me for shelter, but as soon as I see an ant, bug or any other gross moving creature, I will literally panic and run away 😭
How did you dry the mushrooms? I have tried looking it up. The results I got were mostly for cooking and the images made it seem like it distorts the mushrooms a lot, but yours don’t look bad at all. I know I’m a bit late to the party. I am talking about the ones on your “trinket shelf” I have some hard polypore mushrooms but they are quite easy to preserve. Just let them sit indoors in a warm room for a while and they will dehydrate on their own. Unless they’re rotting or something when you pick them then you need to remove the rotting material and wipe it a couple of times. So I’m asking for help with the “squishy” kind of mushroom. I really admire your artistry. I’m mostly just a nature enjoyer. I’ve never seen anyone capable of quadrobics as fluid and convincing as you, and I think your masks are really cool. I get them from many places, the woods, roadkill, taxidermy shops
I carnt put mine on display bc my mum would throw them away or throw up lol
