The marker/spod advice was the best thing seen on a vid for ages....i always done that for last 30 yrs but no one does it now but its the only way to be sure!! Spod rod...marker rod not a spodandmarker rod!
For it to work properly you need to use one of your carp rods/reels for the marker as the braid on your marker/spod rod won’t act the same. Once you’ve clipped the spomb up the way he shows, you need to cast it at the marker to make sure your on the money regardless. The further your fishing the more bow you can get so it won’t be landing where it is whilst the spombs just laying on the surface as shown
