To the guy who asked the question about the stump jumper coil compatibility. I say buy with confidence, although not every brand's coil will work Fox marzocchi DVO not compatible. I use the Cane Creek double barrel coil. Mike from the Lost Co posted an awesome video series where he fits a rock shox super deluxe coil.
Im with jeff. Flat bar gravel/ modern rigid mountain bike. Is so freaking fun! I use my for commuting but every now and then i take it down mellow mountain bike trails and it feel like redbull rampage 😂
Love the shenanigans during each episode, please keep them up! I listen to you guys while mowing my 3 acres, have been for years now. Both my bikes are 2018 I feel no need to buy a new one, they both work perfect….KTM Kapoho 271 and a 429, I can do everything I need to do in Ohio. The price jump to go lighter than the 429 is just scary. $6500 should and does get you a shred machine!
I'm not sold on obsolescence and geometry. Innovative technology, yes. Suspension. Hubs. Brakes. Droppers. All improve. And if you can fit these on your beloved 2016, then fill your boots. I grinned from ear to ear on my 2017 Warden when I first took it out... in 2017. And I grinned ear to ear three days ago. Few original components remain. I have no desire for ultra long and slack. Those bikes are selling, to be sure... stability at speed above all else a priority for some... especially those new(er) riders with little interest in earning their turns and (or) where bike parks feature prominently.
A reason for the backwards TP - kids and cats tend to swipe downwards on the front of the roll. If it is "normal", it unwinds all over the floor. If it is backwards, it doesn't. Jared should probably know this if Bean isn't made up for the likes. I have two young kids and two cats. This is my sole reason for preferring it backwards.
That is an absolutely valid reason for the technique. Never thought of that! Thankfully, Bean has no interest in playing with the TP (yet) but now that she's read this, we'll see.
I'm glad that Liam's make up artist finally had the time to do him early so he could make the Podcast!! Has Jeff got a Cookie Duster going? Is that new Ink on Jeff's Left arm? Are you guys drinking Whiskey first thing in the AM??? UDH is the only way....I hate Shimano...they don't seem to cater to true enthusiasts. I have to get my Carbon Rear Triangle modified to get my bike to UDH standard... I use Wolf Tooth Chain Rings...yep my gal who I live with is a liberal and I am the complete opposite..... Liam is funny!!!
We actually record these in the evenings so no whiskey was consumed first thing in the morning :) Jeff's had that tattoo for some time now. Also had to look up what a cookie duster is and unfortunately he won't keep that going. 😩
Jared saying Vee-Toe-Ree-Ah needs to be a ring tone. Jeff can make this happen right? Thanks gents and to the listener for the feedback on the Mazza/Martello combo, appreciate you guys! So far the casing/width/compound availability on the Contis is still not available but good to hear they will be expanding according to the chatter from Eurobike. I submit Liam Lentil as the name for your Trail One Pedal.
I wouldn't buy a complete Trek bike cause I don't like a lot of the components they use, especially their house brand ones (same with Specialized). I'd get the frame though and if I had one I'd just add my preferred components ... Coming from someone who isn't a huge Trek fan, they're good bikes and I wouldn't be in a rush to get rid of it.
Forbidden?? More anxiety when picking my next bike 😩👌💸 Btw the weird suspension names "inverted four bar" are so strange. Almost all mtbs use a four bar suspension, even VPP is composed of four bars, CBFs are four bars, faux too. Marketers man I swear. Polygon (six bar), and yeti (crank slider), orange (barn door) are examples of non-four-bar suspension.
Bean the cat first mentioned at 1:00. Excellent! Though Bean should make an appearance at some point. haha🤣

I was getting a bit worried mid week when the podcast hasnt dropped yet. But made my start to the weekend so much more pleasant now.
This will make the next hour of my warehouse manager job way better than I was expecting!
Thanx guyz…!! 🙌

When are you guys coming to Reno to ride!? Sierra Vista bike park is riding good!

Seriously want a Forbidden bike now. With a Trail One cockpit and Continental tires 😁
Same 😁

Making me want to trade in my Trek 😂
Do it

Great 👏🙂👍
A bike isn't done being upgraded until it's hanging on the wall after a life of service.
Amen!
Enjoy the podcast, but the setup looks uncomfortable and is visually awkward.
One day we will have a super cool studio like Joe Rogan. Thank you for tuning in, we really appreciate it :)
