Tottenham fan here - nice to hear your comments on Poch. Spurs rocked under him and so... our national teams are in extraordinary hands. How fortunate we are to have both Emma and Poch. Super interview, Emma. Always appreciate how open and well-spoken you are. Your football IQ is off the charts. Best wishes.
Love listening to Emma talk about the players. She genuinly comes across as someone who cares about the players on both the professional and personal side. We lucked out and are very blessed to have gotten her as the coach for USA.
Lily plays in Europe! Her future is in Europe! She will be better off playing for the Netherlands, playing against European teams will improve her overall skills, more so than beating up on the likes of South Korea! …She wants to play football against the best. She has no desire to be a soccer prima donna!!
She's finally seeing it. The rest of the world has not caught up. The US could field 8-10 teams that can compete with any nation in the world. The US is to womens football what Brazil is to the mens game. Each position is miles deep.
Don’t talk nonsense! Nobody wants Hayes back in England! She was a failure in European football! A total loser!! As for the USWNT being able to field 4 competitive teams, borders on being preposterous! Are they hoping to field 4 teams against the lionesses come November!! I can even now hear the excuses should the USWNT lose. They will say, we played our number 4 team, So an England win doesn’t count….All the USWNT has done under Hayes is win an Olympic medal! Which is a second rate competition, which the top footballing nations have little regard for!
@DerekLangdon-w9e Yeah all they’ve won under Emma Hayes is just an Olympic gold medal because she barely started coaching the team at the end of May. As for the Olympics being a “second rate competition” in mens football that’s pretty much true but on the women’s side it really is a serious tournament. Would you have said that the Olympics is “a second rate competition” if a European team had won? 🤔
@@alexjvee6836The Olympics are an athletic event first and foremost! There is no great excitement for Olympic football in Europe. It’s looked upon as just another event like rowing, swimming, cycling etc…Football is well catered for in Europe during the winter months with many knockout competitions, and of course pro/rel league games….Even the Women’s game is well catered for, with the champions league and European championship coming a close second to the World Cup!…..

The good news is that Emma has never beaten Barca in the CL, so she has thought a lot about playing Spain. And Spain will be the favored team at the next WC.
@davidsprenkle2641 Spain will be even better in 3 years. Their U17s, defending champions, just spanked the USA 3-1. They're developing strikers now and Spain will be even more dangerous by then. Will the USA have a better midfield by then? Maybe. Does Lily signs up for the Nats? She will be the key to keeping and retaining possession, because most Nats players are crap in tight spaces (NIC Shaw).
@@r2dad282 Well, Spain was ranked #1 in the world and was the odds-on favorite to win the Olympics this last summer. But they finished 4th--and are no longer number 1. I'm not saying they're not likely to be good--I'm just saying three years is a long time, and their federation has a history of messing them up :)

It’s incredible to see how far US women’s soccer has come-two squads would be amazing.
Emma has so much faith in the US team’s depth; it’s exciting to think about their potential!
Strikers win games but midfielders win tournaments. If the USWNT gets good play from the midfield they can beat any team in the world.
How lucky are we to have Emma for this USWNT!!!Long time coming
wow made a response that here are so many phenoms that we should consider 2 national teams wow Emma endorsed the concept !
Lily will want to win the World Cup in ‘27 (who doesn’t?) and her best chance is with Emma and USWNT.

Why don't you try for beating ENG, Spain and a WC first.
