    As a bass player who loves overdrive on his own sound, that bass sound in the beginning freaking ripped! Thank you for kicking it off like that!!!

    I have a lot of nice basses. I played this bass at a local shop...I went back the next day and bought it. It's a absolute killer of a instrument. I did need to shield the cavity which was very easy. Great bass and its very fast!

    • @ben156
      @ben156 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why did it need shielding? Is the cavity not painted with shielded paint from the factory? The pickups are also active so i figure theyre silent?

    • @BrainChildMutations
      @BrainChildMutations ปีที่แล้ว

      @Benjamin yo! There wasn't any shielding. While recording we picked up a radio station lol but after a little shielding it was good. I still love the bass

    I just got one. The black metallic. The combo of preamp and pickups etc. Awesome !!! But the neck is the game changer for me. Feels like I’ve been playing it forever. I’m normally a passive bass guy but love this. Only complaint, would love a passive tone control. But total A+ from me. And zero of the noise issues I’ve heard about. For the money a huge bang for your buck Awesomeness

    Reverse P Bass pickup set and we didn’t get to hear it soloed in passive mode!! That’s what we gotta hear Anthony. Really nice modern P

    I love how you went from Flea to Bootsy to a MoTown sound by just fiddling with that Treble and Mid and active/passive

  • @PhullyNo1
    @PhullyNo1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ordered! I have a collection of instruments going back about 20 years now, as a big fender fan most are passive, this is going to be a great addition to the active side. But I’ll probably run passive most of the time.

      @@PhullyNo1 so what is your opinion on it? Any regrets?

    • @PhullyNo1
      @PhullyNo1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@brooksonly7337 no regrets, but it does come with some work. Depending on how the unit comes (which production run) mine was a bit noisy, required shielding, pickups are good, preamp wasn’t, I swapped it for dark glass tone capsule. I still want to add a passive tone pot but haven’t done it yet. Active or passive the pickups are tight sounding, I love the reverse P bass setup it makes it sound much more even across the strings. Lows have more mid and so do the highs. Oh new strings of course. Never bought a bass with good strings despite the price.

    • @brooksonly7337
      @brooksonly7337 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PhullyNo1 i do the same as far as replacing strings. The shielding problem seems to be common im seeing. Hate to pay that just to have it worked on you know? Thank you so much for the reply.

      Ha funny, i think that the EQ part of this bass is the worst part. I like the simplicity of passive basses, and i like the look of 3 knobs more than 5. Just looks too crowded

    Hi there, would you recommend this bass as the go-to bass for an amateur/casual player like me? I generally like the sound of traditional P basses but have more trouble with their thick necks. I like the P/J configuration of this bass but from all the reviews I've seen so far, the tone of this bass seems a bit too punchy than I'd like. Thanks a lot!
