Hi my robot has a software issue about the touch senor. It's not a port number issue. In fact, when you check the ports on the software it shows that it's recognizing the sensor and its state on the correct port. And it does get pressed. I even tried pressing it manually just to make sure. But it doesn't work in the code and say, if i have coded it to move backwards when it hits an object, IT DOESN'T STOP, it just keeps going forward continously. Any fix?

In my project my robot will have to move in a number line on the ground and putt fractions in order from least to greatest. So lets say that I will use a 2 meters number line. I thought that as a first step before my robot starts is to put my hand under the fraction 1/10 for example or 1/2 and then the robot will stop until it reach my finger. As you said in your video if we want our robot to stop at a some distance of our hand we cannot be sure by using rotations. I am thinking to use the second example, so as the robot starts, its time I am about to put my finger in front of the robot it will stop. In my project I have to use the robot to ''teach'' to the students how we order fractions . What do you think can this help me ? At EV3 programm how many actions should I use to set in order 5 fractions and stop the robot with my hand ? Again, thank you!!!
Thanks for explaining. I think the video could be improved if the time spent on the wrong program was reduced or maybe just edited down to the correct programming.
Hi, Jeff, we will have that in mind next time we produce a video. The video stops on the wrong program, because we believe, that the best way to learn is learning from your mistakes. Moreover, this is a common mistake, that the students make and it would be useful information for teachers.
Because the axle could bend and thus damage the sensor. It is a rule that you don't put a long axle in the sensor. You could put a pin with a cross, but not an axle.
bro thats so stupid u can just use a loop and the condition will be touch sensor pressed and when the condition happens the robot will do the block thats behind the loop and it will be stop

@@Fllcasts Hi its alright i figured out what the problem was. I had forgotten to add the "stop" button to stop the sensor from continuing its process

How can i save this to Brick Saver . Cause programm works but when i want to control with commander it doesn't work
I don’t think that you can do it with the commander app, at that point you will just have to be able to stop when you get close to something
