You're completely ignoring the fact that he would be the third line center because Lowry is getting the second line minutes.
Under Bones, sure. I don't know that Arniel would opt for the same approach. I suspect we'll see Lowry's time come down a bit, so not ignoring that at all.
That's fair, although Scottie didn't change that for the time he was in charge. He leaned on Adam just as heavily as bones did.
There's also something to not rocking the boat in-season. Could be that Arny really likes him too, but given the emphasis on the youth movement, I do wonder if that changes this year. Scott really hammered home the "5-10% better" point, and reallocating that TOI could be one way to do it!

@@ZeroGhostEight Honestly I wonder if even 3C might be a lot to ask of him. That's still pretty hefty for a rookie. Not that he can't handle it, but I do wonder if it's a bit too much too soon. He's such a confident kid though, he'd probably beg for the challenge haha.
