- New Wideband O2 sensor + Haltech Elite ECU setup
In today's episode I improve the Mitsubishi Evo 9 Wagon electrical components by installing a new Haltech Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband O2 sensor and Haltech WB1 controller and configure it in the Haltech Elite 2500 ECU using the ESP software. I reterminate the Haltech Dash cable to piggyback it out of the Haltech WB1 controller onto the old Haltech racepak IQ3 dash. I do some fault finding and find damage to my coils and replace them with a new Denso COP coil kit from JDMotorsport (discount link below). Then I configure their dwell settings in the Haltech Elite ECU by making a table and inputing values so the new coils can charge properly but not overheat.
Note: The dialectic grease should go inside the rubber boots to help them seal to the spark plugs. Which also stops the rubber "baking" onto the spark plugs.

I know sometimes my videos are very basic but hopefully they will help some people and I like to document what I do to the car with video while trying to be creative Most of the time I do everything here myself which is a big job and its hard to remember everything, But I shoot most of this stuff with my old iPhone and sometimes my old GoPro. The Pieces to camera I film with my Canon 5D so I don't use video cameras at all. Although I would love to get one some day and get a Gimbal too which will open up a lot of creative shots in future videos.

@@UzumakiGarage hey I’m curious, do you have any fail safe sensors wired into your ecu? I’m super confused on where I need to wire my oil pressure and fuel pressure sensors
@@MrCoreymelton I have a fuel pressure sensor and Oil pressure sensor going to my ECU.
Do you use a Haltech ECU too?

@@MrCoreymelton My tuner wired mine up at least 5 years ago. The Haltech evo 9 ECU wiring diagram that shows the ECU pinout will tell you where they go. I can have a look back thru my video to see if i can see where my inputs are when I get a chance. Its probably hard to see it on the car now that its all tucked back up in place. I just don't have time right now. Do you have the pinout diagram? I'm sure I do if you don't.
