G.Guld's music breathes through subtle flexibility that is almost intuitive or an integral part of it. It's about making the performance more human than mechanical. Thanks, David!

Why does he play different notes than written sometimes?
There are multiple editions of the score available. The one I have provided above may not be the one Gould used. Or are you referring to embellishments?

@@vincent-ataramaniko Bach penned compositions, but his works were edited by dozens of different musicians. Some added embellishments, some did not. Bach did not indicate tempo in most of his work, so people are free to interpret his music as they wish. But the notes themselves do not change. Regards
