Jes, have you thought of a Willow of sorts? Or other shrub that love being wet. Joe pie weed like to be wet. They would be good for the flood area. Happy gardening.
Hi Jes, just a suggestion…in the lane where it floods I would move all the mulch and plants and then till in a ton of compost. When doing this raise that part of the bed about 8 to 10 inches and then put your plants and mulch back. The flooding problem will be gone and your plants will love. It will be some work for sure but so worth it in the end. Your gardens are so beautiful as is your voice!!!
Happy Anniversary Jes and Nate. 💘 Blessings for many more years to come 💖 I hope you had a great time together with some R&R 💞 Your garden looks so pretty❣️❣️
As always, it's so fun to watch you come up with new bargain plants and ideas for your garden. I recently caught a couple videos from a year ago, and it's really amazing to see how much your gardens have transformed in just that short of time. Enjoy your anniversary trip!
Hay just a thought why don’t you berm your flooding area then you would have a little bit more privacy from your neighbour and your plants would do better just a thought
Happy Anniversary to you and Nate. I hope you have a great weekend away. Your gardens look beautiful as usual. I love how you move plants around all the time. I’m going out tomorrow as we are having big a cooler day and moving some of my plants. I can’t wait!
Garden looks great! I hope you and Nate have a wonderful trip and enjoy your anniversary! He seems like an awesome husband and y’all are such a cute couple!!!❤❤❤
Oh I cryed love your singing such blessing I the love lord couldn’t have made it without the lord I love for him after losing my grandson.i watch your videos all the time you have the gift of garden.Judy
Your heuchera are amazing I’ve watched you for many seasons your design and gardens are so beautifully designed! Oh yo have more space 🤔. Love the bargains you find in your town!! I may have to plan a trip up next August😉.
Jes with that much clay you need to amend your soil your plant’s roots start to rot because they’re always wet. I would add some compost to that area and before long your plants will do so much better.
I paused your movie and ran to Lowe's and Home Depot to look for heuchera.😂 They're an hour from my house. They're having sales on perennials, but not on heuchera.. I came home with great deals on clearance russian sage and echinacea. And I totally forgot about the heuchera! It's always great to see you and your garden.❤❤❤
Hi Jes 🌺. You arranged these pretty plants beautifully in this garden bed and you can also add more heuchera plants to this bed . Happy anniversary and enjoy your trip . 🌻🌺🌻
Jes, here in GA we deal with a lot of heavy clay but it’s full of nutrients. What we have to add, sometimes, is soil conditioner (very fine pine bark) to keep good drainage & break up the clay.) You might try that in the spots where you have heavy clay. All in all, you’ve got really nice soil I wish I had here.❤
I love your videos! Your gardens are so pretty. Have you considered a weeping willow in your flooded spot? They love water and it’s far enough from your house that the roots shouldn’t be a problem. Also, joe pye weed , hardy hibiscus, phlox and Siberian iris are water lovers. I’m sure whatever you choose will be beautiful.
A few other things you could try for sunny location that like moist/wet soil are japenese iris, swamp milkweed, beebalm or anemone! Love you channel and your singing while gardening! :)
Love your garden! You might want to think about sending pics of your garden to Gardening TLC (TH-cam channel). Michelle lives in northern IL and travels to give garden tours. Would love to see your garden featured.
For the wet area you could put a nice big stand of Japanese or Siberian iris. Or a clethra (also known as summersweet). They love wet soil and can do well in sun or shade.
Summersweet could be a good option to replace the Tiny Quickfire; they can tolerate pretty moist soil and smell lovely. Sugar Shack buttonbush would be another great option.
I know you’ve said in the past daylilies are not your favorite but they might do good in your clay soil. All we have here in TN is clay soil and they do great in it. Also, my roses do really well in my poor, clay soil. I plant monarda and Siberian Iris in the areas in my garden that stay wet. Just some thoughts.
Some type of bog or swamp plant? Swamp milkweed isn't always very pretty but it helps butterflies. Oooh some Irises really love water.. But there are other plants that will take the water.
Hi Jes, your gardens look so beautiful 😍 sure wish I could find Heucheras as cheap as you do, and they are beautiful. So good to know you can move plants around and they still do good for you. I need to move a lot of mine just don't look good where I have them. I love how you have all your plants in your garden. Wish I could hire you to come tell me where to put stuff. Lol, you have a nice time at Nates scrimmage and the rest of your Labor Day Weekend 😊❤ So until next, time God's blessings love you and thanks for sharing your movie with us 😊 always look forward to them ❤thanks for your beautiful song 🎵 love to hear you sing 😊
Love love love the closer walk with thee it will be in my head now!! Have your thought about getting some serendipity allium?? You can’t kill them and are so beautiful!!! Congratulations on your anniversary and may you be blessed with many more years together!!❤
Looks great Jes. I planted several heuchera in my garden this year, two of them died almost immediately, I think they got over watered maybe.. but I put a peach one in my sun perennial bed and it’s doing great. I’m hoping they all survive. I tried to go to the meijer sale the other morning when I got out of work but our meijer doesn’t open their garden center until 10am… like, why?? lol. I was so mad at first but then I thought of you and told myself to have a better outlook on it and my anger calmed down & changed to disappointment instead! I couldn’t go back at 10 am because I had to work again that night and I needed to go home and go to bed.. happy anniversary you two!! 💕💕🥰 hope you guys had a great get away! 😊♥️
Jessica, Maybe a nice shaped Rock would do better where you have more clay in the ground and it doesn't drain you could always decorate around that with annual flowers .
Maybe.... check the view from neighbors side of the Lane on placement of plants, seems like missing bare spots and color in certain areas! Just a suggestion!❤
A river birch or willow will gladly drink up the excess water in that area. And the structure of a taller tree there would be beautiful!

I loved the song you sang during the transplanting! Beautiful! Yes, you should go and support Nate at the football field! He'll be glad you came!😊❤

Happy anniversary, I can’t believe how far your garden has come in a year. Looks so good. Have fun on your trip to Mackinaw Island 🇺🇸🧑🌾
Happy Anniversary Jes and Nate. 💘 Blessings for many more years to come 💖 I hope you had a great time together with some R&R 💞
Your garden looks so pretty❣️❣️
Happy Anniversary Jes & Nate 🎉 enjoy your trip ❤️
Hi Jes, hardy hibiscus loves being wet, and also loves full sun, those would love that spot.
As always, it's so fun to watch you come up with new bargain plants and ideas for your garden. I recently caught a couple videos from a year ago, and it's really amazing to see how much your gardens have transformed in just that short of time. Enjoy your anniversary trip!
Loving all the beautiful pops of colors in the lane ❤. Happy Anniversary!
Looking beautiful ❤❤❤ Happy Anniversary!
Loved the music!
Hay just a thought why don’t you berm your flooding area then you would have a little bit more privacy from your neighbour and your plants would do better just a thought

Happy Anniversary! God gives you so many blessings.
You might try the summerific hardy hibiscus in the wet spot. Mine does awesome where its boggy!

Maybe another curved concrete bench would look pretty in that area where it floods. Another vantage point of your beautiful garden.
For the wet area you could put a nice big stand of Japanese or Siberian iris. Or a clethra (also known as summersweet). They love wet soil and can do well in sun or shade.
Happy Anniversary, have a wonderful time on your getaway.

Congratulations Jes and Natey! How many years Jes? Each year is a great accomplishment!
What about the hibiscus in the wet area? I love your gardens and giggles!
Look up the verigated iris. They love moist soil and sun. The verigated leaves look good even when they arnt in bloom.
Georgia peach is a gorgeous huchera it gives the caramel a run for her money. I love them both.
I agree with someone else and think a larger landscape rock would look good in the lane in the flood zone. Your gardens are beautiful ❤️
Hope the all survive loved the song.
Love love love the closer walk with thee it will be in my head now!! Have your thought about getting some serendipity allium?? You can’t kill them and are so beautiful!!!

happy anniversary you two!! 💕💕🥰 hope you guys had a great get away!
😊♥️
I’m glad you’re going to go to the football game😊❤
😊
Jes time🎉🎉🎉❤
So pretty. Good job as usual 😊
More hibiscus in the floody/boggy area. 👌
Jessica, Maybe a nice shaped Rock would do better where you have more clay in the ground and it doesn't drain you could always decorate around that with annual flowers .
Soil testing might help
Don't forget to water your new transplants.. just a friendly reminder LOL
Hi Jes, where did you find the small shovel? It is so perfect for a flower bed.
Maybe.... check the view from neighbors side of the Lane on placement of plants, seems like missing bare spots and color in certain areas! Just a suggestion!❤
What a deal plants for three dollars! I live in an eight a zone and our garden centers don't have any good clearances like that
Joe pye weed is known to like boggy areas, and I believe it would do great in that low spot area in lollypop lane!
Have you thought about a French drain?
You need to water and fertilize your lambs ear. Gardens need water and care. I wish I could grow huchera!
I think she does a great job caring for her garden beds , they all lookbeautiful !
A weeping willow tree would take care of you flooding problem.
6775 Carroll Spring
812 Konopelski Hollow
What is the name of that shovel
I noticed you never fertilize your new plants when planting them in.
She does occasionally
🙏🏻
