For those who don't know what's all about. The video is based on an old legend. In the legend, a little deaf boy had the power to know other people's troubles, and could heal them with his voice. He left his abusive home and found a stray dog to keep him company. As he was living on the streets, he found an old man being shouted at and stoned by others in the village. The boy used his power to heal the man's heart, and they continue traveling together. Then they find a man who is disfigured and shunned by society. The boy uses his voice again and find that the man is really a prophet who was cursed by El diablo, the statue you see at the end of the video. Anyone who can hear El Diablo immediately falls under his control. They hear he can be found beyond the desert, so the group travels to see him. They find the cave where El Diablo lives, but the two men and the dog can't enter. If they do, they'll fall under El diablo control. So, the boy goes alone. Because he is deaf, he can't hear El diablo. He stayed in that cave, and used his voice to drown out El diablo, so nobody would be hurt by him again.
The boy is sacrifice for evil entity based on Bolivian legend. Because he is deaf and his voice have magic ability, he can't be influenced by the evil entity (the evil statue on the cave)

He didn't sacrifice himself, he sang until he killed the evil demon. The kid was deaf. lol
There's a parallel message going on. It intertwines Bolivian folklore with child trafficking.... the ambiguity at the ending scene is represented by the boy being delivered to the child trafficker represented as the devil... the video is equally as powerful as the song.
So basically if you know the movie 'The Wizard Of Oz' Dorothy wants to go home, The Lion needs courage, The Scarecrow needs brains and The Tin man needs a heart. They all travel to the wizard to get those things they need. If you watch the music video again you'll see all that happen, just in a different way from the movie. It’s actually based on a different story. But the story is similar to The Wizard of Oz. The boy is deaf but has a magic voice. He escaped an abusive household after being tired of being yelled at. He found a dog and brought it with him to keep him company. He later found an old man being teased, and taught him to block out the noise of people bothering him. Then the 2 found a deformed man (that’s why the person looks like they’re wearing a costume in the video, they’re supposed to be deformed) and the boy told him to block out the noise of people teasing him. Then they all traveled through the desert to find El Diablo, the demon that cursed the man that was deformed. He’s deformed because of a cure by El Diablo. They left the boy behind because El Diablo curses you through his voice, and since the boy is deaf, he can’t hear El Diablo’s voice. So he drowns our El Diablo’s voice with his, making sure no one ever gets cursed by him again.
I found this through another comment and I’m not sure if it’s entirely true, but I’m choosing to believe this is what the video is based on, so it’s a little bit like Wizard of Oz.

The man with the costume is the Pepino, that is tradional figure that onli lives in the bolivian carnival and the man with the face pinted is a miner. They live with the devil at the end of the video
