I'm glad I read the desc, cause I was like, alright which Bahamut, cause if it's XIV Bahamut, well, the mother lover got yeeted to the planet from space, broke out of its prison, and wreaked destruction so powerful it was felt across the world. It took a spell which ended up taking Louisoix's life just to frickin seal him away. On top of that he's a Primal so he can temper (tempering is permanent mind control, basically making you permanently worshipping whoever tempered you) rayquaza unless it has shown to have some sort of mental resistance, but even still technically I think Bahamut has a possible way around that because he is one of the rare instances of a Primal being able to temper a primal.
Theres some new scaling that gets some legendaries like rayquaza and mewtwo to multi solar system but I'm not sure if rayquaza was one of the pokemon that scaled to it.
Just one thing: How would analyzing a rundown for Bahamut work exactly? 🤨 I mean, from Final Fantasy 1 to 7 you could argue "Bahamut" is the same Bahamut but, you're also getting into different variations by 7 like Neo Bahamut, Bahamut ZERO and, Sin Bahamut. Add to that, you can tell from appearance alone that Bahamut is not the same "Bahamut" as prior games from 8 onward. I mean, Bahamut from 10 was MUCH different from the Bahamut versions before even. So honestly as much as I'd love to a Death Battle between these Dragon Gods, I'm just not sure how analyzing Bahamut would work exactly...
I'm not sure who would win here. Both are giant dragons who are claimed to be legends of the skies, but are also far beyond that in ways. Both of them are similar in power in various ways, can counter and resist each other's abilities and moves, can use and resist various elemental abilities, can ignore certain changes to the area around them (weather, time, space, etc), can out perform various monsters in their own worlds, and are known for their vastly extreme power, durability, and speed. This is very similar to the situation with Link and Cloud, where their vast abilities and resistances basically cancel each other out, leading to raw statistics as the last resort. Various Pokemon, such as Charizard, Gardevoir, and Machamp, are all known for their extreme abilities on their own, but it is outright stated that legendary and mythical Pokemon are beyond even Stage 3 Pokemon, and some Mega Evolved Pokemon. Examples of this include Groudon and Kyogre, which even with their combined might and improved Primal forms, could not match Rayquaza's power, which drove them back to a surrender. Rayquaza also went on to fight Deoxys, and even defeated his various forms in just his own base form. He should also scale to other legendary Pokemon, such as Giratina, who can make dimensional rips in space-time. While I'll admit Giratina is likely stronger than Rayquaza, both are considered legendary, and their sheer powersets go above the normal Pokemon. Bahamut is a beast that has been apart of the Final Fantasy series since the beginning, and has been known for its crazy powerful abilities and its appearances as summons. With the status of summons, Bahamut is capable of rending his own galaxy within his illusion-based summon, and is capable of fighting characters such as Cloud Strife, who is known for taking on the sun's explosion and get right back up. So, who would win in a fight, between the heirs of the skies? The winner is... Rayquaza. Now, hear me out. Bahamut being able to fight against Cloud Strife is cool and all, but he was essentially one-shot by him, so its hardly a fight at all, more like an outright murder. Rayquaza, on the other hand, has actually faced things capable of surviving star-level power, such as Deoxys and his various forms. Deoxys has been known to be able to beat Mewtwo, who, in its X form, is capable of fighting off a weakened Zygarde, and fared as equally as Necrozma did against it in its base form, who absorbed *all of the light out of Ultra Space.* By light, it basically means *all of the energy that a star has ever made, even after it has reached its destination.* This means that Necrozma's base form is capable of galaxy-level feats, which is close to Bahamut's level of power in that it creates its own dimension full of stars. That's not to mention that this all trails back to Rayquaza. Necrozma, who is galaxy level in base form, did equally to Zygarde in said base form as Mewtwo did in its X form, who pales in comparison to Deoxys and its forms, who *also* pales in comparison to Rayquaza's *basic attacks,* even with its various forms... and Rayquaza *STILL* has a Mega form that he can use! So basically: Bahamut = Galaxy power (can create a universe full of stars) Necrozma = Galaxy power (can absorb all of the stars from a universe) Mewtwo X = Galaxy power (translates to Necrozma from Zygarde) Deoxys = Galaxy+ power (at least somewhat stronger than Mewtwo and its forms) Rayquaza = Galaxy++ power (literally no effort to fight Deoxys) Mega Rayquaza = Galaxy+++ power (literally just a better Rayquaza in literally every way. All stats are buffed, gains better type advantages, is known for better feats in general, etc.) And while this is a bit of an outlier, Shadow Mewtwo is also capable of creating an entire universe of its own (at least it seems,) BEFORE using its Mega Evolution. This adds evidence that Necrozma's feat isn't exactly just a one-time thing in Pokemon, universal stuff does just occasionally occur. Rayquaza clouded Bahamut's chances of victory. The winner is Rayquaza.
@_igger : when your mad that people try to use facts and research and speculation all in 18 paragraphs that your character might lose, but you hit em with nah my character wins.

I like this. Imma say Rayquaza FTW since I know next to nothing about Bahamut This and Rayquaza vs Mothra are exactly what I want in a Rayquaza matchup
Let's just put it like this.... While I love Rayquaza, bahamut is revered as one of the most powerful summons in the game(hell if you go two comments up from here there's a list of different ones from different games), in final fantasy world, he's pretty much God. His megaflare attack wipes out countries, because of his superspeed in flight, and he can fly between planets within seconds and I think one time he blew a hole in the moon?
@@73NSH1 depending on how you look at it Ray can either be planet buster or universal close to multiversal. The planet buster feat is easy. Ray stops two pokemon Groundon and Kyogre from fighting. Now these two literally can shape the planet. Now for the Universal feat, well Ray stats are the same level as Giratina, Dialga and Palkia. These 3 pokémons essentially created the world. They govern over anti mater, time and space. Each of them is universal so normal ray has the same stats as these 3. If he mega evolve he goes beyond these 3. Also in the one movie Rayquaza attack (while in mega evolution) stops these 3 i just named in their tracks. Do I think Ray is universal? No but an argument can be made of him being universal.
@@vx1762 Shaping planet≠making or destroying one, he is high continental level bc he stops two continental pokemon. The game stats are only game stuff and not canon in lore, a creature that made the concept of time is beyond the guardian of one planet. Pokemon movies and series contradict games and vice versa, both are unrelated. I don't hate pokemon but Final Fantasy is just something else.
I commissioned this! While the song is FF6 Bahamut, the matchup would be a reasonable composite for both instead. No silly Mewtwo/Necrozma scaling for Rayquaza, and only the most thematically similar and reasonably powerful Bahamuts thrown into one. In that case both would be around planet-large planet. Bahamut would have an AP advantage, but Rayquaza would have a much higher speed advantage and the arsenal to take the King of the Eidolons down with extremely high diff
Well having absolute control over the weather and a long list of attack options are certain advantages of Rayquaza, however taking a gigaflare from Bahamut is going to do some major damage.
depends a lot on the versions used. basic vs basic, then its close but likely rayquaza, advance vs advance, then got to say bahamut, unless rayquaza can casually beat the ultra-beasts and all of the Pokémon gods. emphasis casually, and using lore

If this battle were to ever happen I just gotta say... I feel bad for Rayquaza and whatever galaxy they fight in. Because both are fucking toast. Doubly so if they use the strongest Bahamut, currently Brave Exvius' whose three star summon just murks a whole galaxy
lets look at facts rayquaza is broken and still is even after taking out mega evolutions and you all have to realize rayquaza took on almost all the legendary pokemon on his own in hoopas movie and made them seem like jokes i mean even Arceus wouldnt dare that feat and get back up afterwards i mean he did fail but it took all the legendary pokemon to bring him down using their strongest attacks mind you so i think Rayquaza would win this fight hands down- drops mic-
even the weaker bahamuts could be casual planetary, and FTL, the stronger ones are so far above that that you cant even class them as the same creature anymore
@@techno8229 But it stil hurts the victim as a real supernova but does that even matter?Beerus is WAY above star level he can sneeze and destroy Sephiroth
Rayquaza goes Mega, expecting fear. And that's when Bahamut breaks out Blizzaga, which it has at BASE power. Don't even have to give it any more levels, he has it by default in FFX. And that's one of the weakest Bahamuts. The KING OF DRAGONS will not fall to such an arrogant whelp.
Rayquaza is Universal+ minimum after Mega Evolution. This isn't a stomp by any means. The weakest Bahamut forms definitely lose to Mega Ray. The strongest form win in a much closer fight.
@@redraven123 How are you getting the Calc for Universal+? Rayquaza is shown to take down Meteors like in ORAS's Delta Episode and the End of PMD1, but nowhere near a galaxy, let alone a universe. If it's because you're scaling it's stats to Arceus's base stats, Arceus itself has also been knocked out of commission by a Meteor, and this was Arceus with all of it's plates at full power, likely much more powerful than the Arceus a trainer can get in game.

@@zaxstarkaijein That post compares Rayquaza to other Pokemon. No reference about Rayquaza's extreme Ice Weakness, how Bahamut has greater ability to heal, with access to Curaga and Drain, as well as directly being able to hit Rayquaza's double weakness with the Blizaga spell. Or how Rayquaza has a limited PP pool, while Bahamut can just cast Osmose, which he can totally learn in FFX, to get more MP. With more HP and MP regeneration, Bahamut should be able to stay in the fight longer, and I believe is Durable enough to stay in the fight to wear Rayquaza Down.

Just one thing:
How would analyzing a rundown for Bahamut work exactly? 🤨
I mean, from Final Fantasy 1 to 7 you could argue "Bahamut" is the same Bahamut but, you're also getting into different variations by 7 like Neo Bahamut, Bahamut ZERO and, Sin Bahamut.
I've actually just made an analysis of this myself! Check out my comment, if you'd like.
You could probably seperate them to some level when they're too different. Brandon notes it's FF6 Bahamut so take that as you'd like
I'm not sure who would win here.
So basically:
Bahamut = Galaxy power (can create a universe full of stars)
Necrozma = Galaxy power (can absorb all of the stars from a universe)
Mewtwo X = Galaxy power (translates to Necrozma from Zygarde)
Deoxys = Galaxy+ power (at least somewhat stronger than Mewtwo and its forms)
Rayquaza = Galaxy++ power (literally no effort to fight Deoxys)
Mega Rayquaza = Galaxy+++ power (literally just a better Rayquaza in literally every way. All stats are buffed, gains better type advantages, is known for better feats in general, etc.)
And while this is a bit of an outlier, Shadow Mewtwo is also capable of creating an entire universe of its own (at least it seems,) BEFORE using its Mega Evolution. This adds evidence that Necrozma's feat isn't exactly just a one-time thing in Pokemon, universal stuff does just occasionally occur.
Rayquaza clouded Bahamut's chances of victory.
The winner is Rayquaza.
Huh nice analysis surprised that Rayquaza wins this considering some people think Bahamut wins
The average pokemon fanboy saying dumb things as always in here
Bahamut is multiversal and rayquaza universal at best

This is Rayquaza's best matchup imo. Ridley has Vilgax as a better opponent(Bowsers also a good alternative for Ridley, but Bowser Vs Eggman is a better matchup for Bowser).
Would probably go for 4 or even 7 over 6 though
This one is interesting. It sounds like a combination between Deceptive Tyrants and Gods Of Destruction. I like this. Imma say Rayquaza FTW since I know next to nothing about Bahamut
This and Rayquaza vs Mothra are exactly what I want in a Rayquaza matchup
Let's just put it like this.... While I love Rayquaza, bahamut is revered as one of the most powerful summons in the game(hell if you go two comments up from here there's a list of different ones from different games), in final fantasy world, he's pretty much God. His megaflare attack wipes out countries, because of his superspeed in flight, and he can fly between planets within seconds and I think one time he blew a hole in the moon?
@@dallasdawkins2369 not to mention megaflare isnt even his strongest move..gigaflare, teraflare..etc
Literally every pokemon fan who says rayquaza wins know nothing about a good game like final fantasy
Anybody got an opinion on who wins? I don't know enough about Bahamut(or FF for that matter) to say for myself.
@@andresmarrero8666 dragon ascent, protect, draco meteor, extreme speed. Gg’s.
depends a lot on the versions used. basic vs basic, then its close but likely rayquaza, advance vs advance, then got to say bahamut, unless rayquaza can casually beat the ultra-beasts and all of the Pokémon gods. emphasis casually, and using lore

Mannnn I love both but I've been more familiar with the King of Espers ever since I played Final Fantasy 4
I was kinda unaware that Bahamut had forms, which I even tried looking for to no avail, but I did make an analysis on this in my own comment. Check it out, if you'd like!
It's a good argument for Rayquaza... but there's nothing in that post about how it could potentially get past Bahamut's defenses.
@@MagicalTalkingPony For what it's worth, Mega Rayquaza's ability, Delta Stream, negates its Flying-Type weaknesses. It would still be weak to Ice, as a Dragon-Type, but Ice would only be 2x effective instead of 4x effective once it went Mega.
