- After a very full, productive summer in my garden, the final harvest gave me more than I realized was still there. I was truly blessed, despite not being able to devote a lot of time to it.

I try to only grow large or beef steak tomatoes because I don’t have to handle as many then for processing a good yield!!

It takes two years to grow an onion if you take the smaller onions and replant them you will get a bigger on you.

Great harvest! You can over winter your onions and get a spring harvest.
Overwinter in the ground? Zone 3 here.

Do you do anything to your soil under the apple trees? What care do you give them? Beautiful apples and harvest!
I haven’t done anything other than water in the really dry season. I probably should do more!! 😉

I make calendula oil from the dried flower petals. I use the oil in salves and lotions-very healing for skin.
