    There are privacy regulations in place that prevent me from using this without asking permission from the attendees. Got a rude and aggressive response from my manager, when I started to record a Teams meeting for my own records. Like, calm down.

      That's a good call out. Thank you for sharing your experience. If you’re hosting, you could also consider turning on the recording before everyone joins the meeting. This way, those that join the meeting will see a message in the banner to say the meeting is being recorded.

      I use Otter for summary and transciption and I don't invite it to the meeting. I just hit record on my account page. I know others integrate Otter with their virtual platform but having Otter pop up as an 'attendee' can be off putting to some.
