The diminished round pierced her armor abd embedded into her heart. As they fell, their eyes met in a kiss. The Syndicates on Sulara Prime were just a tendril of a much larger, more deadly, more menacing threat that was the Galactic Council itself. Our Heroes are laid to rest, separate coffins in one grave. The Galactic Council believes they had won. Unbeknownst to the Council, the Sularan Resistance tunnels under the coffins and removes the couple who have been in a death mimicking coma. Much to Talon's credit he does not tell the massed resistance fighters of the couple's extrication. Turns out the tall, older Sularan with the scared face is a Syndicate mole. Talon is found murdered with one blood whetted finger tracing an curved lightning bolt on the floor. Jared has the blood on Talon's finger traced; it us not his, but belongs to his killer. The Sularan resistance fighter's scar is finally recognized as what the dying Talon traced. There is "food" for several other Takes here-in. After almost a decade of conflict and much sorrow ( Jared and Raylan are assassinated ), Jared and Raylan's daughter and the orange-eyed Sularan resistance fighter's son complete what their parent's fought for. All major criminal syndicates leave the sector Sulara Prime is in.
