I really hope future games open up past Mordor either to the East, which not much is known of, the West which we all know and love. The North and South would be interssting too
Masterminds HD download Lord of the Rings online and you can explore all of middle earth. All zones, to the east, to west, to mordor, the shire, everything.
I feel the same way, but realistically speaking it takes way less processing power (etc.) to have regions. So if this increases the performance of the game and makes the world more interactive I'm all for it.
Darren Larson it has regions, it's regions aren't connected by many kilometers of land, they're all connected my loading screen which makes it open world, but not completely, like the Witcher 3
One of the Gondorian fortresses will probably be Cair Andros. It wasn't shown in the films but it was mentioned in the books where straggler Rangers were fleeing from it and supposedly it was the last stronghold to fall about a week before Minas Tirith was besieged. Of course in the books it was to the north of Osgiliath but... creative licence may prevail if it's in the game. As for the others that seem to be in Gondor, they'll probably be either ones created by the devs for the sake of the story or potentially an introduction to the Mordor allies in the south... Haradrim fortresses? Perhaps the same could be said for the Rhovanion fortresses... Easterling forts?
I read a week ago that only five regions (which have already been displayed) will be available in shadow of war. It would a bummer that we don't get to explore all of Mordor but I'd like your input Masterminds. Do you still think that there'll be 23 fortresses or do you think it would be more feasible that there'll only be five regions. You're the go to guy for Shadow of War so I'd appreciate your opinion a lot.
I appreciate you appreciating us. Sadly, it does look like there will be five regions only. Hopefully we'll get some expansions that will brings us to other regions.
will we get a chance to go to all these fortresses? map shows a lot of fotresses, i am level 51 and still no access to any except the main ones throughout mission gameplay. seems kind of boring considering their is so much map yet so little of it is accessable.
the fortress on nurnen is called sharkhburz i really have a hard time believing theres going to be 23 fortresses though, thats ridiculous. also, i think all the size comparisons and stuff like that are pointless because they dont have to make everything to scale or use the entire map still a pretty interesting video though, good insight and good job organizing all the information. is there a better view of the cloth map out there anywhere?
Is it really called that? What a ridiculous name, there aren't even any sharks there. Anyway, 23 fortresses is indeed quite a lot. Maybe some of it's DLC? Maybe some of it isn't accessible? Or maybe it's true? We'll have to wait. Thanks.
sharkhburz means old shadow in black speech 23 fortresses seems like it'd make the main campaign really stretched out if you had to do all of them. i think another possibility would be that some of them are optional or bonus missions
Do you really think their will be this many fortresses. I mean really we have only seen 6. And if every map is bigger. I just don't think they would have hidden almost 17 different locations in trailers but I could be wrong. I think that the trailer was just misleading. Trust me I hope I am wrong but I just doubt. I mean the game would have released in almost a month and they haven't shown a screenshot or video outside of cirith ungol, minas ithil, gorgoroth, nurn, and saragoth. It's always the same places. Why not tease one of the other 17 locations.
I don't want to get the wrong impression here. Shadow of Mordor was my game of the year and in my top 10 games of all time. I just don't understand why nothing has been shown out of 17 other regions. If there was like two or three more I'd understand but I mean Jesus Christ that would be like Bethesda only showing one cave in Skyrim and that's it. Plus they keep avoiding the simple question, and in one stream they even tried to justify that we already have more regions so a number doesn't matter (Which by the way 6 is better than 2 so I don't care.) But I mean even look at the map, it looks like there are two minas tirith's next to each other near the original so obviously something isn't right. Again, trust me this is really the only game I'm looking forward to and I would give anything to have 20 something regions but if each is 3x larger than Udûn and they already have four more confirmed than I don't understand how they could go from 3x larger and 20 more than before and have over 30 more skills and more nemesis system weaks and fortress assaults and defense. It just seems astronomical for a four year gap. God bless them if they do it though. I can only hope for the best with this game but I don't want to get my hopes to sky high.
every region might not have a fortress as in story gameplay they said that wildlife has protected some lands so there could be a region or two without a fortress
Only four fortresses. Cirith Ungol, Seregost, Nurnen, and Gorgoroth. Minas Ithil is a story fortress that's locked away after it becomes Morgul, and you don't have Osgiliath as a fortress either. :(
I know I’m very late but Minas Morgul is indeed not locked away I don’t want to say anything more than that as to not spoil the game for players who haven’t completed the story
I think your voice is fine, only thing that stood up to me is how calming it is to listen to you and then suddenly at the ending BOOM BIG BANG WUB WUB MUSIC.

@@kingaragornii9940 I was sad that we couldn't explore Minas Tirith, but I can understand why that wouldn't make sense for the game. They still did a great job of bringing various regions of Mordor/Middle Earth to life though. Minas Ithil/Morgul in particular was great
Nothing's for sure, just hoping here. Though there is this article that shows a bit more about it: twinfinite.net/2017/03/everything-we-learned-about-shadow-of-war-from-its-gameplay-reveal/

Interesting map breakdown. Thanks. Not sure whether we'll actually play in Minas Tirith but we can hope. You have a very soothing voice which is great but music as the end really grated. Horrible.
In the end we got 5 fortresses plus a dlc fortress (unless there was one more) talion's story is over sadly no more middle earth games unless there planning on making a new one but with a different character and era there gonna use
Masterminds HD this one was great decent graphics cool story.. But it also had a underwhelming map and far to few fortresses even with dlc.. And free movement wise (running into borders constantly). These issues need to be thought of in the next one whatever that is, if even that happens. I hope it does! so much potential here! Could be a 10/10 game if it wasn’t so limited.
I know, right? I hope the Gollum game is awesome, but what I really would like is an open-world or even linear story game in Middle Earth with the combat from this game.

That would be legendary
If that is minis ithil (I don't know Lord of the rings) it is indeed one of the full regions
@@dcfencer8797 no minas ithil the minas near cirith ugol minas Tirith is the main city which is more on the western side

Will we by any chance in the game be able to enter Minas Tirith and Osgiliath? It'd be great to fight alongside the Men of Gondor.
+Double D I doubt that we will. But it would be amazing
You do realize that americans (and oddly morrocans) do know the metric system right? We arent ignorant
It's (partly) a joke. It's similar to saying all Americans are fat. You know it's somewhat true, just doesn't mean everybody's fat over there.
Well... Im not so sure about that.
How many regions will be in game? Only seregost, nurnen, cirith ungol and gorgoroth? With a gtx 1060 will run in my pc?

Of you are saying something for people that don't use the metric system then why did you say the distance in metric units not imperial
I was mistaken
I believe that fortress located on an island on Núrnen sea is literally called Núrnen if i am not mistaken from the assault on Seragost video.
I think so too, they mention it in the gameplay trailer

There are multiple regions and you have to load in every different region.

5 regions

I believe one of the developers mentioned in a stream that each region was about 1.5-2x bigger

there is only 5 fortresses
