Oh yes. Reminds me of strawberries and sunshine ❤🌞. And its a strawberry moon. Its been raining off and on for summer solstice. But the clouds cleared friday morning and the moon was so georgous. It was setting and the most beautiful orange. ❤

That’s a rosy maple moth I believe!! those “socks” you see are actually their fur! Most moths have fur in order to help them stay warm and prepare for flight! (Moths and butterflies need to warm themselves before flight) that tail you see is actually its abdomen, and you’re actually half wrong on the “moths are pale white and that’s it” Part! Yes, some moths are pale white like the ghostly silk moth, but there are many more colorful moths! For example, the pink silk moth, the lunar moths along with its subspecies, and the most colorful moth even known to be recorded, the Madagascan sunset moth!

Now that I'm up here in the mountains I'm seeing so many different types of moths and in so many different colors. The most interesting thing you said is that that cute little yellow tail I thought was a tail is actually an abdomen. I think nature and wildlife are so interesting aren't they? I'm actually from New Jersey. But I had always camped up here in the mountains and knew one day I'd move here and sure enough I live up on a mountain and back a bit in the woods. I looked up the meaning of the pink n yellow moth and speaks of Love and emotional healing. As well as transformation. How wonderful.
