Welcome to Sydney. You'll love ut here and best time of year as its not too hot yet.
I'm sure you'll get out west to the Blue Mountains. When you dongo pick a nice sunny day to go as that'll bring out the blue in the mountains. Also if you drive up a top spot with our the tourists that go to the 3 sisters is the Grand canyon walk. Its not at Katoomba but before and is well worth the walk. Its not too hard to walk. There's geaos if great spirs in the mountains. Really nearly every road leading off the Great Western Highway will lead you to a lookout or to a clifftop overlooking valleys.
Also south will give you the Royal National Park and after that down south coast. Summer time its great down there as its not crowded and so many great beaches too.

Go for a drink at Opera Bar on Thursday, Friday or Saturday afternoon around 5pm. Great place to hang out for a hot summer day.

First correction. We do not have "bank" holidays in Australia. We have "public" holidays

@@lolaololade that specific public holiday is the labour day long weekend. Also conveniently marks the start of daylight savings. 😊

Slight clarification - we do have occasional "bank" holidays but they are holidays only for banks! Everyone else still has to work on those days.
"Public" holidays are the ones that everyone gets to enjoy.

That's only the Germans. They will still pronounce it Bondi when talking to other Germans even tho they know it's Bondy. In German you pronounce a lot more as it reads. There are a few trick letters but a lot less then in English.
