The team of volunteers is amazing. Thanks to them, we can hope to preserve the environment through the restoration of the beautiful scenery and canals. Have a bright future! Thanks for sharing, my friend!🥷🇯🇵
Ah, the volunteers are amazing and it’s all down to them and the work they put in that the canal is being restored and the work that has already been done too.. a long way to go but exciting times ahead 👍🏻👍🏻
I have reconstructed canals near me ..if you are lucky they will be great for wildlife and boating ....a lot of the work is carried out by volunteers...
It was the motorway that finally finished of the canal back in the late 60’s early 70’s, waste from the construction ended up infilling the old abandoned canal, the highways agency did contribute to the work that is currently underway to reopen this canal but it will have to be rerouted and somehow run along side the Ruver Frome under the M5, a lock either side will have to be created too. Exciting times ahead though 👍🏻👍🏻
Ah, it’s massive mate… you’re probably not familiar but in the 1700’s this and another canal linked the river Severn and the river Thames…to restore it all after it was abandoned in the early part of the 20th century will take many years but this part is scheduled to start work this year to link up… it’s still an awful lot of work ahead though
