Aaron I gots one of them 257s. Pretty much stock. Won't hardly start. Needs a carb kit. But once that sucker is running. Man you put a decent 20" bar & sharp chain. Wow that is a high revving, cutting saw. It's been tinkered with but I picked it up running for a $100. I guess its time I did some real tinkering w/mine. I'll be watching & waiting as you finish that one. Later.
Is the black part you took off really a dust catcher? And I just have to say, it's cool to watch you tear the saws down. I would be nervous as hell I would loose something.
Very nice video, I know you will have it running great
I believe you can put a 262 top end on that saw
Made a nice clean saw
12:10 yeah, but what's even worse if you get a stuck philips.

Ok thanks, enjoy the race
Never messed with a 257 my go to 50cc saw is the 254 I've got a few of them there good soft wood saws.
254s are really nice when you drop the exhaust on them
@@cajun3197 I can imagine . Mine are all stock but I liked them for cutting jackpine. They're good limbing saws. I hated cutting jackpine though.
I my way of thinking, that cylinder base gasket had to be hurting the performance.
