I've noticed this as well, thats why I was super surprised to see A.K.I had access to a overhead on modern on release. Other characters not getting their overheads on modern though is a pretty signifcant nerf from classic.
Ryu and Luke do which is why they are good on modern. If Chun had it on modern she'd be cracked too. Lily is also missing her overhead. Very arbitrary. They shoulda let all the modern chars keep it instead of just 3
I felt like modern aki wasn't that good. BUT I am also like a bronze level player. I actually dont have a rank because I have never played randos, just friends.
Not Justin, but I have a ps3/4/pc fighting commander that I love for a lot of fighting games and find it pretty good for SF6, though I only play with classic controls. I like that all 6 main buttons are on the face for having to do throw/drive stuff without using shortcuts. It's probably fine for modern if you get used to that.
These cuts to them just losing right after doing a modern reaction is just funny to me.

If you get drive rush issues just try holding parry the whole time after you attack and spamming dash. You will get drive rush even if it glitches

the octa? I use it for modern, pretty good but the d-pad is kind of jank at times. Obviously you'll need to remap the controls as well.
