In a world where there's so much division NOBODY thought in a million years that a middle age white man and a Nigerian woman could actually make it in the world of television. Thank you to anyone involved who had the GUTS to create this authentic love story
A friend of mine from college. Who is a complete and utter computer nerd?Who got his computer engineering debate And it's the typical nerdy white guy from a midwest state, Is met and married a black women from Burkina Faso who was in the United States to become a nurse, then a nurse practitioner and then find a doctor. They have been married for almost 20 years with 3 beautiful children.
After watching this clip, I decided to make a comment about the division in the world. I’m thrilled to see there’s another person out here who feels the same way I do.
Chuck Lorrie is a racist. He was when producing The Big Bang Theory, 2 and a Half Men. So here he's so against his fellow Black Americans he had to use foreigners in place of us. Look at The Big Bang Theory and see how he treats characters of color like Raj.😢
@@Michelle-pn9xt they mean the actor who plays him, Gerard Sanders, but he also looks a bit like the other older actor to play Howard Stark, John Slattery.
I love how he shifted a bit so she could lay her head on his shoulder. That's what couples do, automatically... It lends some extra realism to the scene, I think.
The little thing about "finding your bench" was especially sweet and a cool thing to have for anyone to go to when it's needed in a relationship of any kind. That was a great little insight to keep around. Never watched the show before but I'll be looking for it on reruns when it pops up. Thanks for that.
@@yourimaginaryfriend9075 That’s not true. Every human being is beautiful. It just depends on the way you see yourself , because that determine how others sees you.
One of the things I loves about this show is that he never forced her to be "American". He took time to learn her culture and invest himself in it. To bridge the gap between her ideals and his, to understand her. She eventually did the same and I believe that's what made the show beautiful. I still wish when Bob caught her playing guitar she didn't hide it but smiled and played.
I remember when this first came out because I was in a really bad place in my life and it helped give me a little bit more positivity whenever I saw a episode
Although I've missed the show, I'm amazed how Billy and Folake have changed on the show and in real life!!! I'm so surprised that Billy lost a lot of weight - good for him!!! We seriously need stories like this!!! Because this country is getting more and more divided!!! We need lights in a world of darkness!!! Thank you to the Bob Hearts Abishola Team!!! But, most of all, THANK YOU, BILLY AND FOLAKE!!!!
This show just had a great wholesome feeling, without being corny. And the two titular characters had a great dynamic with one another. We need more of this.
That scene was so wholesome! I wanted them to be in a large field of flowers together! Those two are just really nice couple goals! Bob helps Abishola feel heard and respected while she helps Bob take care of himself.
My mom and dad are the exact same way except my father is from Gambia. He became a naturalized citizen and gave up his diplomatic immunity in order to be with my mom. This show reminds me of them and how love has absolutely no discrimination. I’m so glad that this show exists.❤❤
I loved this show... Love them as a couple facing the world, and their families. But all good things come to an end. Thanks for being a ray of sunlight in a dark world. 🥰
This is truly one of my favorite shows... the chemistry between not only the two leads but the entire cast is amazing.. There is love throughout... thanks for all your hard work gang, and the wonderful laughs..
An amazing FEEL GOOD series: family problems, cultural differences, business issues, health concerns, support systems... What more could you ask for. BRILLIANT writing, from a hilarious British-Nigerian stand up comedic. Bx❤🇺🇸😎
I love this show so much because she reminds me of the amazing caretaker that watches my son when he has respite. She is the 3rd person my son asks for when he is feeling sick at school, when she comes to our home his face lights up and he gets so excited. She has the right amount of patience and strength to work with our little guy.
This show was everything I needed it to be and more. I absolutely loved every minute of it. I laughed. I cried. I resonated with the characters. The writes knew exactly what they were doing with this show. A perfect love story with the perfect ending. ❤❤❤
I have to admit, I have never seen this show, and when I heard of it, I thought it would never succeed; but after seeing this video, I gonna watch the reruns.
@@PhoenixFeather09I’m not 100% certain but I think it’s basically an affectionate name for you partner. Basically the equivalent of saying my love in English or ma chérie in French.
Maybe this hit me at a particularly vulnerable time. Maybe the premise and acting are perfect. Maybe youtube's algorithm hit it on the nose for once. But this old man is going to have to find a place to watch this show I'd never heard of before now. This touched me, deep down.
This is one of my favorite sitcoms that I have seen in the past 15 years. I hope that It becomes available on DVD so I can add it to my TV series DVD collection.
3:00 Such a pure expression of joy, especially from someone who seems to struggle with expressing joy like Abishola it's great he evokes that in her : )
He is really cool in real life too. She is so beautiful and I have always found "Bob" appealing not just because he is so cute but his inner vibe is just extremely cool. You can tell WHAT & WHO ppl are simply by HOW THEY SHOW UP IN THEIR OWN LIVES OFFSCREEN. I enjoyed this show because for just A FEW MOMENTS I was able to GET AWAY from all the RACIAL MADNESS; escape for an hour. These 2 had some good Chemistry and made a super sexy couple. Love how everything wasn't always Rainbows & Sunshine because Life is Ups & Downs, Joy & Pain especially navigating the still tough Existence of Being An Interracial couple. Gonna miss the show!
