I lost my once very long lashes after chemo medication. I was left with very short very fine lashes and stopped wearing eye makeup altogether. After years of different eyelash serums i finally found one that worked for me and i now have longer lashes. Not as long as before but really good when i put mascara on. Mascara has changed so much that i have about 6 different drugstore mascaras and have settled on one but i have to do so much cleanup with it as it is so wet. I always use an eyelash curler before and after mascara has dried. I did get so many compliments on my lashes recently and some actually thought i had light extensions on. I would love to try the first one but i am in the UK so will have to look and see if i can find it online. Thank you for the comparisons. I also want one that comes off easy as i don't want my much needed lashes being pulled out when removing. Thanks again. Shirley.

I do it before and after mascara; before, so that I’m applying mascara to lashes that are more curled, and then after mascara (when dry, not still wet) because the mascara will help hold the curl and give more *oomph.* And I definitely notice a difference when I don’t curl my lashes 😊😉
Maybelline Lash Discovery makes my invisible, short and stubby eyelashes look like your natural lashes. Tiny little wand so it takes longer to apply sometimes, but the effort is always worth it as it picks up and fills out even the shortest stubbiest lashes on the corners of the eyes both inner and outer. LOVE IT! Been using it for years and years, hope they never stop making it. My go-to drug store mascara, and pairs nicely with L'oreal Lash Paradise if you want to do a quicker upper lash, using the smaller wand on the Maybelline for just lower lashes. A beautiful drug store combo that rivals every high end mascara I've tried.
Just wanna say in case someone else needs to see this, my Thrive mascara got better with a little bit of age. The first week I used it I low-key hated it because I couldn't even get one solid coat. I would just near instantly have a sticky clumpy mess. You would think a tubing mascara would perform worse with age but I left it in my drawer for like a month and I'm telling you it's kinda better now. Like because it's tubing it's still not the best for layering but now I can at least get one solid coat with mostly well separated lashes. Holds a curl super great and doesn't transfer throughout the day!

I never thought I was rough with it, but I do kinda roll the wand in the tube as opposed to pumping for for product. I really want it again but I’m too afraid it’s going to break and that will be money down the drain.

I use the By Terry mascara, it’s my all time favourite!! It makes my lashes look so long and curls them, and also holds the curl all day long! Absolutely worth it!!
Bought the Exhibitionist Covergirl yesterday. It did nothing for my lashes compared to Unlimited L'Oreal. But will give it one more go before passing it down. I've wore my mascara as you have for far longer & love this look too! Thick & Long!
I just discovered YANZI and I love it! It’s a silk fiber that give you volume and length. It doesn’t flake. It doesn’t smudge. It’s easy to get off and it’s absolutely amazing. The container itself is diamond studded and it’s beautiful!

I bought the thrive mascara after hearing everyone rave about it. I have VERY hooded eyes so every mascara unless it’s waterproof (even then sometimes it doesn’t work) transfers under my eyebrows and I end up having black lines that I constantly have to fix throughout the day. This mascara does not do that, it’s amazing honestly. Rinsing it off is a breeze and it never flakes like Allie said. I highly suggest it for anyone who has hooded eyes!

so I opened my mascara today and because in winter I don't have time to put it on I tend to only wear it in summer. and I finally..FINALLY understand why gurus say that when a mascara dries down it's so much easier and better to use because it's so easy then to apply you don't worry about smudging and you can never add too much. the mascara I own is Maybelline Colossal Black. the classic yellow one. it's wonderful😃 I was worried about clumping but it didn't!
My favourite mascara to date is the Heroine Make Long and Curl mascara Super Waterproof version. I have short and straight lashes, this is the only mascara that keeps them lifted and curled all day until I want to remove it. Plus it’s only around £10-£12.
I wish there were clips of you applying each mascara (even if it were just sped up) in between the mascaras so we could see each end result. I'm aware this is probably a lot of work so I understand not doing it. I'm a huge fan tho and love your videos. I got caught in a rainstorm while walking dogs and was soaked and was wearing the Caution mascara and the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation and neither budged or smudged or had droplet marks!!!! Quick tip from someone who lost all my lashes after really bad extensions: Use either an eyeliner brush or any applicator (always clean) & apply CASTOR OIL to your lash line (overnight works best since it’s oil). It can also be used on eyebrows & some use on scalp for thinning hair. It worked great & is very affordable compared to name brand $$$$$ products for lash growth.
I'm addicted to mascacr and always trying nee ones, I'm the same as u I natural long full eyelashes but mine are blonde. I have to say I have been trying the eyeko mascara it's the most amazing mascara trust me it's a must have and it has natural conditioner in it so it's so gentle on ur euelasts and the price is also very reasonable, please pls give it a try and a review. I personally cant rave enough about it, I've ended up buying all of the range now. They even do like a travel size 1 for half the price . Cary on Sith the videos I love them . Xx
I love the Hourglass Caution Mascara. I use this on my bridal clients, and on myself when I need some color on my lashes. Aside from not smudging or flaking, I love the fact that it has a trompe-l'oeil effect (fool the eye) into believing they really are your natural lashes. If someone or you touch your lashes while you're wearing it. It just feels like you have the most amazingly soft lashes. I finally left my $40 Givenchy mascara and switched to this one. I also like the fact that it isn't "waterproof" but it is resetting drop and tear proof. My clients all seem to think that it is waterproof, but according to Hourglass it is not.
I ❤mascara. If there was only 1 product I could have...that would be it. The only mascara that's more "high end" that I've tried is the Thrive which I love. I have been blessed with seriously long lashes and I'm on the same train as you in terms of how I like my mascara and how they wear. Go big or go home lol. My go to would have to be 2....I sometimes combine them...the Loreal telescopic and Lash Paradise. Thanks for this video!! One of my favorite mascaras is Loreal Voluminous. I love it!! It's one of the best mascaras there is. I also love the Lancome Diffinicils mascara, but, it's a little expensive. It's good if you are going somewhere special or just for a fancy dinner out. I love it, too!! ❤
I used up all the Thrive mascara you sent me. I was so happy I got a backup in a subscription box. Fav mascara ever! I like the Mile High but the Thrive is better. I use Mile High as a backup. aaaaaand your eyes are incredible. You have such a light about you. Stay sweet!
The mascara that I’m obsessed with at the moment is Benefit Bad Gal Bang. The wand is long and thin with short little spikes. I also LOVE the GrandeDRAMA thickening mascara with castor oil. There is something about that formula that is just amazing!!

Dr Hauschka volumizing mascara. Not water resistant at all, but the length and volume is AMAZING. PLUS it’s all natural. Big brush, bristles of different lengths that are plushy. Comes in black, brown, or aubergine which is nice for green or hazel eyes.
Thrive mascara is my go to! I never used to splurge on mascara (because I'm poor!), but I did on Thrive. Worth every penny! I also have long lashes to begin with so I can relate to the smudging on the eyebrow bone. Love the Thrive. I will purchase again.
I rely on the benefit bad gal bang mascara! It’s got a relatively thin wand with small spikes on it and the formula is also similar to a tube formula (a little more rubbery and slippery). I think the combination of the brush and formula keeps my long lashes separated and super long! It never clumps on me, and importantly, the brush never comes out of the bottle and full of clumps. I hate when that happens - I feel like I have to wipe my brush down a little to get rid of that excess product or else it will clump my mascara upon application.
The thrive mascara is hands down my FAVORITE mascara! I always use it when I do bolder eye looks cause I hate falsies and that mascara does the trick for me. I use the wander beauty unlashed mascara for natural makeup days because it doesn't clump on my lashes.
Thanks for sharing your favorite mascaras Allie! I'm not a big fan of mascara because I rub my eyes so much so it makes a big mess. I do wear it on special occasion. I've tried many mascara but one mascara so far that I like is Smash Box fan out mascara. It just gives me that beautiful lift without the eye lash curler that I feel like it's gonna rip off all my lashes. But yes you are right, everyone has their own preferences. It's always great to try new brands so you know which one works for you. ☺️
I love the diorshow overcurl mascara which became too expensive to purchase every few months. I recently found maybelline big shot colossal mascara in leather or something like that. Love it. Cheaper alternative in my opinion!!
You got me hooked on the Thrive Mascara. I love it. It is just so easy. I am extremely active all day every day ad I love that it stays put until I remove it. I always thought Lancôme and L’Oreal were my favorites until I tried the Thrive. Thanks Allie. You do have gorgeous lashes.
I also have naturally long lashes, and I feel like sometimes it’s harder to find a mascara that works without making my lashes look crazy. If you get a formula that doesn’t separate, your lashes tangle together. If it’s loo lengthening the lashes end up looking out of place. My number one all time mascara is Maybelline Lash Sensational. The lift, curl and separation are just what my lashes need with out being too crazy.
Thats one of my favorites as well... to me, it beats most highend ones i have tried. The falsies mascara is really good too!! Maybelline in general makes really amazing mascara!
Amanda Davis yes! I like the falsies, but for me it can flake if I’ve had it on too long :( I will say, Maybelline KILLS the mascara game, high end and drugstore Maybelline is probably my favorite mascara and it’s just an added bonus that it’s so budget friendly

Mascara is one of the hardest categories to choose from. It depends on the look you prefer on you, your lashes to beginning with, smudging or flaking that could have to do with your eyelid shape and the skin around your eye, sensitive watery eyes, hot climate🚶🏻♀️ I really find it hard to find a perfect one that does it all
I absolutely loveee KKW Beauty mascara!! I also have long lashes so volume is what I look for in a mascara as well. The KKW Beauty mascara has an awesome formula it is for sure one of my all time faves!!! A godsend!

Hi Allie, notification squad! I recently purchased the Tom Ford Emotion Proof mascara on sale at Macy’s! It is soooooo good! It’s blacker than black, and it doesn’t budge! It lifts, separates and is voluminous at the same time. Macy’s gives 15% off beauty several times every year ( I used to work there). You could do a new luxury makeup video...But seriously wait for the sale because it’s EXPENSIVE lol 😆
That is the only mascara I’ve tried that doesn’t give me raccoon eyes. Which is unfortunate because it’s really is so expensive! Especially for something that has to be replaced so frequently 😭
I recommend the shopmissa's AOA far last mascara!! it's great for the "natural/everyday/effortless" look because it makes your lashes look fluttery and wispy. my all-time favorite and it's $1!
My all-time favourite is L'Oreal telescopic mascara in carbon black. I'm very much in the minority here as I cannot find anyone online who likes it much. My favourite is the tiny little wand. I love the Hourglass Caution Mascara. I use this on my bridal clients, and on myself when I need some color on my lashes. Aside from not smudging or flaking, I love the fact that it has a trompe-l'oeil effect (fool the eye) into believing they really are your natural lashes. If someone or you touch your lashes while you're wearing it. It just feels like you have the most amazingly soft lashes. I finally left my $40 Givenchy mascara and switched to this one. I also like the fact that it isn't "waterproof" but it is resetting drop and tear proof. My clients all seem to think that it is waterproof, but according to Hourglass it is not.
I ❤mascara. If there was only 1 product I could have...that would be it. The only mascara that's more "high end" that I've tried is the Thrive which I love. I have been blessed with seriously long lashes and I'm on the same train as you in terms of how I like my mascara and how they wear. Go big or go home lol. My go to would have to be 2....I sometimes combine them...the Loreal telescopic and Lash Paradise. Thanks for this video!! Funny story, so I always get asked of I'm wearing falsies, but one time I was with my brother and he was like jeez Jen why don't you cut them darn lashes lmao. Oh i guess ya had to be there. One of my favorite mascaras is Loreal Voluminous. I love it!! It's one of the best mascaras there is. I also love the Lancome Diffinicils mascara, but, it's a little expensive. It's good if you are going somewhere special or just for a fancy dinner out. I love it, too!! ❤

I used up all the Thrive mascara you sent me. I was so happy I got a backup in a subscription box. Fav mascara ever! I like the Mile High but the Thrive is better. I use Mile High as a backup. aaaaaand your eyes are incredible. You have such a light about you. Stay sweet!

The mascara that I’m obsessed with at the moment is Benefit Bad Gal Bang. The wand is long and thin with short little spikes. I also LOVE the GrandeDRAMA thickening mascara with castor oil. There is something about that formula that is just amazing!!

I love Thrive Mascara! I like mascaras that gives me some definition & doesn't clump my lashes & this does that. It also cleans off perfectly.
Dr Hauschka volumizing mascara. Not water resistant at all, but the length and volume is AMAZING. PLUS it’s all natural. Big brush, bristles of different lengths that are plushy. Comes in black, brown, or aubergine which is nice for green or hazel eyes.
Thrive mascara is my go to! I never used to splurge on mascara (because I'm poor!), but I did on Thrive. Worth every penny! I also have long lashes to begin with so I can relate to the smudging on the eyebrow bone. Love the Thrive. I will purchase again.
The Wander Beauty unlashed mascara is amazingggggg 😍 one of my favs for sure
I rely on the benefit bad gal bang mascara! It’s got a relatively thin wand with small spikes on it and the formula is also similar to a tube formula (a little more rubbery and slippery). I think the combination of the brush and formula keeps my long lashes separated and super long! It never clumps on me, and importantly, the brush never comes out of the bottle and full of clumps. I hate when that happens - I feel like I have to wipe my brush down a little to get rid of that excess product or else it will clump my mascara upon application.
You have the try the Chanel Le Volume Mascara, it is the best mascara and I have never seen a single person talk about it!
The thrive mascara is hands down my FAVORITE mascara! I always use it when I do bolder eye looks cause I hate falsies and that mascara does the trick for me. I use the wander beauty unlashed mascara for natural makeup days because it doesn't clump on my lashes.
Thanks for sharing your favorite mascaras Allie! I'm not a big fan of mascara because I rub my eyes so much so it makes a big mess. I do wear it on special occasion. I've tried many mascara but one mascara so far that I like is Smash Box fan out mascara. It just gives me that beautiful lift without the eye lash curler that I feel like it's gonna rip off all my lashes. But yes you are right, everyone has their own preferences. It's always great to try new brands so you know which one works for you. ☺️
I love the diorshow overcurl mascara which became too expensive to purchase every few months. I recently found maybelline big shot colossal mascara in leather or something like that. Love it. Cheaper alternative in my opinion!!

You got me hooked on the Thrive Mascara. I love it. It is just so easy. I am extremely active all day every day ad I love that it stays put until I remove it. I always thought Lancôme and L’Oreal were my favorites until I tried the Thrive. Thanks Allie. You do have gorgeous lashes.

I also have naturally long lashes, and I feel like sometimes it’s harder to find a mascara that works without making my lashes look crazy. If you get a formula that doesn’t separate, your lashes tangle together. If it’s loo lengthening the lashes end up looking out of place. My number one all time mascara is Maybelline Lash Sensational. The lift, curl and separation are just what my lashes need with out being too crazy.
Thats one of my favorites as well... to me, it beats most highend ones i have tried. The falsies mascara is really good too!! Maybelline in general makes really amazing mascara!
Amanda Davis yes! I like the falsies, but for me it can flake if I’ve had it on too long :( I will say, Maybelline KILLS the mascara game, high end and drugstore Maybelline is probably my favorite mascara and it’s just an added bonus that it’s so budget friendly

Mascara is one of the hardest categories to choose from. It depends on the look you prefer on you, your lashes to beginning with, smudging or flaking that could have to do with your eyelid shape and the skin around your eye, sensitive watery eyes, hot climate🚶🏻♀️ I really find it hard to find a perfect one that does it all

If you like those twisty brushes, you should try a mascara from Bourjois. It is definitely more affordable than By Terry.
I want to try the Thrive Cosmetics mascara, but concerned about the tubes because I have sensitive eyes. The Nabla mascara is really good, it makes my lashes look fuller and the black is the perfect dark tone.

I’m super picky about mascara myself. I don’t like wet formulas and I don’t like flaking. I’m a fan of Lancôme mascaras BUT lately I’ve been reaching ONLY for the Ilia Limitless mascara. I think it would be really helpful if you talked about how wet or dry the formulas are and what your preference is. However, thanks for the recommendations. I love your lashes!
Hi Allie, notification squad! I recently purchased the Tom Ford Emotion Proof mascara on sale at Macy’s! It is soooooo good! It’s blacker than black, and it doesn’t budge! It lifts, separates and is voluminous at the same time. Macy’s gives 15% off beauty several times every year ( I used to work there). You could do a new luxury makeup video...But seriously wait for the sale because it’s EXPENSIVE lol 😆
That is the only mascara I’ve tried that doesn’t give me raccoon eyes. Which is unfortunate because it’s really is so expensive! Especially for something that has to be replaced so frequently 😭

Voluminous False Fiber mascara by Loreal is my best mascara to date!! Even holds curl which never happens for my lashes lol
My all-time favourite is L'Oreal telescopic mascara in carbon black. I'm very much in the minority here as I cannot find anyone online who likes it much. My favourite is the tiny little wand. I have tried sooooo many out there and I keep coming back to this one because of the tiny wand. I'm very lucky like you having naturally long lashes as well.
