Great info as always Cruise! Some info on how to rent a bike in Japan 🇯🇵 without a Japanese cell phone number would be really helpful. Arigato Goziamasu‼️
Greaaat video!! Will visit kyoto next week. Thanks for sharing. Quick question tho. Can bike park in front of the shop strip leading to the fushimi inari for a quick buy? Or we should find a parkking spot first
Thank you for taking us along on this tour of Kyoto! I've really enjoyed the series, including the Lake Biwa section. When back in Kyoto, did you notice a considerable difference in cycling infrastructure versus what you were used to in Nagoya?
Yuzu kosho burger sounds interesting. Japan has so many yummy foods. You made me want to go back to my country. I live in NY so you would want to come here to have good pizza....Let's switch!!! Lol
@@TwoWheelCruise I'm originally fr Windsor. I didn't even know Detroit pizza was it's own thing until I left. I can see why burgers are good in Japan tho - they're serious about beef and bread.
Really loving the vibe this Kyoto cycling series is giving! Makes me want to get out and cycle too! Hope you guys are doing great in Thailand now, Cruise and Thoung! I really hope to cycle with you soon once the world gets better. Cheers!
Love your channel! I’ve been watching your videos and finally booked my first trip to Japan with my partner. your channel has inspired us to bring our Brompton bikes with us to Japan as well. Do you have any tips on how we should lock up our bikes in big cities like Tokyo / Osaka / Kyoto across different times of the day? Thanks! (P.S. we’re based in London where bike thefts are very common and we would never dream of locking our Brompton bikes out in public!)
Bike theft of higher end bikes is very rare in Japan. You can be extra safe and use multiple locks, park them in an area with cameras, or hide them in a hidden spot. There are also lockers for rent in some areas.
@@TwoWheelCruise thanks! Have you been able to easily bring your folded bikes into cafe / restaurants / shops / malls in Japan? Mine has a roller frame so I can easily push it around like a carry on luggage, but appreciate I may have to consider cultural differences
We are planning to rent e-bikes from 100 bikes Kyoto to go to Fushimi inari, Kiyomizu dera, and philosophers path. Do you have experience with that rental company and is it easy to bike around these places? Thank you!
The Kamogawa cycling path is very long up north but nothing much to see up there aside from the Kyoto Botanical Garden. It is a nice chill ride along the river though :) Down south, it goes to Uji, Nara, or Osaka. I am not sure if this is true for Nagoya too but there are a lot of one way streets in Kyoto since the roads are narrow. Luckily, it only applies to cars.
Burger in Japan > burgers in US. Not sorry. The only burger shop I miss was a small shack near Araha beach in Okinawa. I don't think they're there anymore.
Yeah ! It is reassuring to see you riding safely again, especially on these busy roads. Such a pleasant river side to explore, though the shallow parts made you wonder wether the river would be passable on foot in places. By the way, was that the sound of ducks we could hear as you were heading towards the restaurant ?
In the event there is no cycling path, instead of the main road, is it okay to cycle on the pedestrian path instead? Or is that not looked well upon in Japan? Tks

Kyoto district is interesting . I will continue to watch your videos .

Felt good to be back on familiar roads. The roads are generally wider in Nagoya, but nice to see the bike signs everywhere in Kyoto.

NY has plenty of good food options, but I prefer Detroit pizza ;)

I just loved Kyoto. We had the best little Airbnb in the Gion district
No shortage of nice places to stay in Kyoto
Lovely!

So cool. I'm thinking of going there to work as an English teacher.
It's a fun experience if you find a good company to work for
Are there any bicycle parkings?
What a beautiful city Kyoto, so clean, nice... thanks for sharing your scenic ride...
Where do you put your gopro? looks stabilized :)
11:55 was he on a folding bike too? Or just a small bike?
folding bike
12:47 left building was Khaosan Kyoto Guest House. I often stay there, but their network is now out of business.

Thanks for the info! Not as many one way roads in Nagoya, but still a few
When will you start posting your adventures in Thailand?
Instagram is up already. On TH-cam maybe 1 more week.
Nice video 🥰
I really like the bike you ride. Can you tell me the manufacturer?
Love Kyoto! Thanks Cruise and Thuong-chan for taking us along. 💯👌👍
Hello
I am 6 feet 3 inches height. Please tell me whether mobot royale suits my height???
You probably should get the extended seatpost
Is extended seat post available at mobot royale showroom??
How much it cost??
Most bikes are on the wide sidewalks on main road...
China usually have bike ramps on most thier stairs...
Nice beautiful

It was a lot of fun to explore here. Not sure what the sound was.
when is your next stop to Singapore? Would be happy to see you tour around the island and share your wonderful videos!
Was hoping to visit before going to Thailand, but they didn't open from Japan in time. Maybe next year.

Depends on the road and area
I need to try a cacao burger.
I kinda have a little more appreciation for our larger roads here in America. My Sport Trac would barely fit on these tiny roads.
四条は自転車ダメだって昨日まで知らなかった
Wow amsterdam need uu
You are still stuck in Japan?
Nope, these videos are a few weeks old
ブロンプトンの偽物やんダサいww
You had a nice day!
I'm looking forward to watching your videos.🍔
