    This machine already has an automatic stabilization due to the ground effect. If one side lifts up, the propeller gets away from the surface. This reduces the ground effect and the lift on this side. So the raised side drops again. Probably the machine will not fly any higher because it needs the ground effect to lift off.

      I think that the only reason this machine is even halfway stable is that the ground pressure is tending to equalise the thrust, or I mean that if one side of the disk (the spinning blades) rises higher than the opposite side then pressure/lift is lost so it sinks back to try to gain equilibrium, and then the oscillations begin all over again...

    It looks counter intuitive but the propeller bellow gravity center make the system self stable.
    just take 2 minutes to think about it and you will agree.
    It is also true that the idea to fall through a propeller is somewhat unpleasant and this is probably the big reason for the lack of success of the concept
    Meanwhile for multi rotor this concept should be revisited

    horosho, prijatel. To answer someone's question about the counterrotating props: the easiest way is to have nested drive shafts, an inner and an outer. Drive the inner one way, and use a gearbox to drive the outer the other way.

  • @jeyapaulsamathanam7057

    " A" for the effort. The instability problem must be overcome. With so many designs successfully flying, the creator may need to redesign.

    qualquer pessoa sabe que a parte mais pesada tem que ficar em baixo para melhor sustentação ...então isto não da certo

    • @coriscotupi
      @coriscotupi 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Na verdade, para a sustentação é indiferente se a parte de cima é mais pesada ou não. Quanto à estabilidade sim, a máquina sera naturalmente mais estável, mas lembre-se que todos os helicópteros são naturalmente instáveis. De qualquer forma, hoje em dia a eletrônica cuida muito bem disso e a parte mais pesada pode ficar em cima sem problema algum. Vide os Segways que funcionam muito bem.

  • @MrSteelAu
    @MrSteelAu 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    good job, you go lift-off!. the idea is nor new, the reason the props are over the craft not below it is C of G. if you are dangling, you have control however if you are on top. what would happen if you tip over? or tilt to one side more than 17 degrees. the answer is you have no chance or recovery. keep up the good work, build shrouding around the props not only for safety, for better lift with air difuser and multi directional vanes louvers to turn and move forward. I like your work.
