    Very smart to go with a powerful Charles. You’ve come a long way since the Henry cordless benchy. You will finally have enough power!!

      Yeah, this one is fab as you’ll see in an upcoming refurb series. You really need a powerful benchy 🥰

    I am so glad that you are enjoying your new Charles glad I was able to get you something off of your Amazon wish list to help you do all the wonderful work you do with all those vacuums

    A common fault with the Charles vacuum cleaner the electric cable going into the head of the machine will eventually pop with a bang and a spark with all the flexing and wrapping the cable round the Machine it's an easy fix though.

      Ahhh right, I will keep an eye on that, thanks 👍

    Charles is the sweet spot in the line up with the more powerful 1,000W bypass motor and is reasonably quiet. Very handy vac for garage and clean up after home repairs.
    Be interested to see you measure current. Our Nacecare CVC370 pulls closer to 1,200W despite 1,000W rating.

      Ours is Nacecare 120V 60hz 1000W but shows 1180W draw.

    Pre EU regulation Henry was 1000w. HVR 200-22 1200W Max, 1000W IEC. Charles, Henry wet and dry and George are classed as a wet vacs so are not bound by the same laws (luckily!)

    Hi, great video. I am looking to get a Charles soon. Was wondering if you have any tips to keep cable tidy when wrapping back around the machine? I was thinking Possibly some type of Velcro cable tie

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, yes, that’s what I use is a strip of Velcro To keep it in place, I do the same with my George too 🥰

    Is Charles okay for carpets I have been offerd a Charles hoover or a Henry and I heard Charles is more powerful so will it be any good on carpets? Car mats? Car seats?
    Thanks

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, as Charles is a wet and dry vac he’s not limited to the Euro power cap. They need to be more powerful to suck up liquids from carpets and upholstery. He’s perfect for vacuuming and also wet.

    Do you think this would be suitable to use with an orbital sander?

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes definitely, but this vac has awesome suction, I don’t know it that would cause problems of causing the sander to clamp down too hard on the surface?

      I ended up picking up a 2nd hand henry xl plus that's pretty much brand new for £75, I decided the wet and dry was probably going to be over kill for what I need it for and for £75 the xl was a steal, thanks for the reply, its very much appreciated 👍

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, the XL will be more than enough tbh for what you need. You had a bargain well done and no probs mate. Don’t forget to always use bags 🥰

    Hi
    Can this be used without bags for dry

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn’t recommend using any Numatic without bags

    • @guest21984
      @guest21984 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HooverLux I've used my Henry for years without any bag, its been perfectly fine at picking up mountains of hair, wood chip, bolts, plant trimmings and even nails.
      My plumber has Charles and uses it with the wet filter for wet and dry vacuuming - no issues with many years.

    That is one long hose 😮

    • @ryanhawkins1235
      @ryanhawkins1235 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that might be the Ebay generic hose he talked about in another video as I ordered one too for my Numatics.

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, it was just a generic one I got, best thing when using it as a benchy, almost feels like a central vac it’s so long lol.

    Poor chicken Charles sucked the life out of her. The extra power of Charles does sound nice. Maybe one day I'll get a Charles or the one that can shampoo too. They are pricey here in the States. My wife's aunt is drooling over Henry Quick to replace her Dyson right now.

    • @HooverLux
      @HooverLux  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That chicken will never be the same again 🤣. I’m still not impressed of the Quick compared to the Dyson, but I guess for all hard floors and just a quick whip around it’s fine.
