By freezing i think vitimns will disappear so better to buy fresh now a days in fresh vegetables only we are getting less vitimns if we boil freze then we just need to use like preservative vegetables
Amazing idea...people in India feel odd but outside india everyone freeze and use this veg all the time...special the one we grow in garden as organic veg are costly to buy year around..thank you for sharing
Yes I do wonder same, people in india believe in fresh veggies and always cook same day. What would be the difference if we keep cut veggies ahead and use them later? Any nutrition loss? Or they would spoil? 🤔
@@deepthireddy3267no it won’t lose any nutrition. Infact it will stop losing any nutrients because you are freezing it’s time! So the one month frozen veggies will be even more nutritious when compared to the few days old vegetables in your refrigerator. Only downside of freezing is that the texture will change
To all commenting that” fresh” vegetables are available, so freezing is a bad idea: 1. How many of us actually buy vegetables on daily basis and use it up immediately? Most of us store for a week - is the nutritional value the same or is it reduced in that week? 2. For people in the city buying from supermarkets/ shops rather than mandis- do you know how long it has been since the vegetables were harvested? There are a lot of videos and studies available that prove that (some, not all varieties) of vegetables retain nutrients more when frozen. Please get your facts right before criticising someone’s ideas. To me personally freezing vegetables was a big help especially during the lock down times when nothing was available.
I don't understand some people... You can buy frozen at the store so what's the difference in buying or growing and freezing your own? I'd choose frozen before canned any day of the week and as you said, nutritional value isn't affected much if any.
Research paper shows that there is minimal nutritional loss if you freeze your vegetables. Just cut and store in a polybag in freezer. Its as simple as that. Busy people working day to night can use them. Atleast better than buying a fastfood.
For ppl against freezing they can just skip this video.. Glad I found this!! Got umpteen dozen carrots...but only about three or four pea pods!! Might have to do a mixed bag!! Otherwise I would have thrown out the peas!! LOL!!
Put whole tomatoes in freezers, use in curry, dhal etc. Curry leaves can be kept in the cooler, they will dry out, but freshen up as soon as its put in the oil. Chillies, can dry and use in powder form, stops wastage but still get the same spiciness. Haven't found any solution for coriander.
Puree mango with a bit of sugar and store in containers with large lid or in zip lock bags. For vegetables just chop and freeze in smaller zip lock bags. Mine lsst more than 6-8 months. Mango lasts one year and more. No cooking or blanching

You can use the blanched water as vegetable stock in soups
This is very useful for stopping wastage and saving money, thank you!
I would also suggest to use the leftover boiled water as vegetable stock in soups! Yes, the salt needs to be adjusted accordingly!

Yup but peas are cheap only in winter, I mostly do this for corn btw just so I don't have to keep shucking them

Not every area sometimes go to very far from our house for 200gram carrot etc
I think this is very useful for those who in abroad
Wonderful idea. Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a lovely day ♥️
Would be really nice if just by waving our hands over the ingredients they get peeled/ chopped/ ground, or cooked!!
Do we really need to blanch the vegetables?
Do we need to create vacuum?
Very helpful. Is blanching a must? If so about how long
Searching for so many days for this video thank you !

Why do you want to freeze these vegetables, they available round the year?
not for people in north..... vegetables like peas, carrots and few others are available only in winters and if available will cost you a lot 😊
@@learnwith_smriti what are you talking about? I live in jammu and everything is readily available here at normal prices except for orange carrots
