I did this from ‘96 to ‘04, and I sure do miss it. My youngest son loved it! He was 5 when he started going up with me. I had a lot of good times in the day. Thank you for posting - love the experience.
Sure brought back fond memories. I flew in Minnesota from 1999 to 2014, mostly south of the Twin Cities. I have a number of my videos here on TH-cam. I believe it is flying for the common man, and the safest way to fly yet invented.
Ive flown choppers and fixed wing but never been sure about flying in one of these. In a chopper you can auto rotate if the engine fails, fixed wing just glide down but what happens to a 'ram air chute' if you lose the forward motion and motor? Does it just act like a ballistic parachute and get you down safely? Looks like fun!
I haven't seen Photo Guy in a Long Time, Hope he is Alive and Well. I believe that he lived in Minn., not really sure but that guy could make some Excellent Flight Video's on his Trike, really miss Seeing Him...
These are usually called powered chutes. They are big, heavy, and with lots of power compared to a paramotor. They fly a rammed air chute, where a paramotor flies a paraglider wing. Cool video.
OK that looks excellent and now why don't you get rid of the parachute wings and have real wings put on the frame and it will be more like an airplane. What have you got to lose? You will be flying a piper-cub plane and I'm sure you could fly a piper-cub plane without any problems.

Cool video.
Thanks for the info!
Whew! What a rush. Amazing beauty that we ground-bound landlubbers miss.
Yes!
You were in good hands with Brett!
Yes we were!
Para Plane was a registered trademark of ParaPlane Corp. This is a powered parachute, not a ParaPlane
Want to go rollerblading?
Where can we buy the Paraplane that you were flying??
Sorry I can't be of help. The pilot is a friend, I am just the passenger!
osmm bro how can be find mr. b's any website or youtube channel ?
I am pretty sure he doesn't have a youtube channel. I am sorry I can't be of any help.
What model is this? I want to buy one?
I am not sure what model it is. But there are many options
What song is this? Thanks.
It is an Apple soundtrack in the imovie app. Called "Memories of the Past" by Scott Langley
If the engine dies are you safe in this? For a paramotor I understand... But this thing looks like a brick.
It just becomes a glider at that point and you find a place to land. It is an amazing experience if you ever can do it!

Not sure it is quite that easy!
that's too much weight to be on a parachute safely
It was made for that purpose, so we were pretty safe!
