Sonus Caeli - An Exploration of Data Sonification

Data sonification is the process of turning an image into sound, specifically we will be looking at the transformation of stellar image data into sound. To remove any confusion, this is not the sound of the object in space, but an interpretation of the light, pixels, brightness etc of the image itself being converted into something you can listen to.
The project which is headed by the Chandra X-ray Centre and System Sounds aims to give blind and low-vision communities the ability to listen to and appreciate the cosmos with other senses, and this is an exploration of that project.
