    I was waiting to see what the new machine was going to be. I'm excited and glad I waited. I will be getting a rmax4 in the spring. Good review, you did cover stuff I haven't seen in the past 2 days. And I actually live really close to you. May have to do some riding next summer. Always look forward to your vids!

    Been following your videos on the Pioneer 1000 as I have been thinking of purchasing one, but now that I’ve been seeing the videos on the RMax, I’m liking it more. I just love the styling and automotive interior. Which do you like better? I will use the box in the back for working around the property and also plan on putting a plow on it for the snow. Love the fact that you can also go trail riding.

    Have had a Grizzly 700 for years with no complaints and over 15,000 miles on it. Very reliable and extremely well built. Been waiting for a bigger machine from Yamaha and am sure this is the one. The XTR model will be my newest toy!

      I’ve owned a 660 grizz and a 700 grizz. Great wheelers! I’m kicking around the idea of getting another one actually. Love side by sides but there’s just something about throwing you leg over a completely open machine and hitting the trail that I’ve been missing recently. Right now though all the dealers Yamaha stock is limited and I can only find 700 Kodiaks. Maybe that means a 850 grizzly is coming!😁🤞

    Having a 19 x2 , just wanting more ground clearance and slightly bigger tires I can easily add a 2" lift kit and a set of 27 or 28" tires and not have to pay that ridiculous over pricing for the extra 30+ HP. And whistles and bells. I do need some better shocks on my base model x2 but It still wont cost $ 9,000 . I'll be keeping my X2 . But nice job Yamaha. If I could afford I'd probably be crazy enough to buy it. Great video !!

    I believe the rear ground d clearance is higher than the front. That’s probably why it doesn’t also have arched arms in the back and do in the front. 14” up front 16” in the rear.

    This looks like a winner for Yamaha. I think the price is a bit high still, but maybe after a few months it'll drop. I think they would out sell most of them, but they need to get the price down a bit. Yamaha makes a get unit, this thing is built to last for sure. I've been cross shopping the Talon, but I think this RMAX makes more sense.

    One more comment: I watched SxSblog the other day get invited to Polaris to review the new Ranger/General/RZR. because it wasn't the top of the line models they were bored and kind of "dissed" Polaris by throwing burgers out of the bed on the course(ck the video) People like you "AppalachianMountainRiders" Do such a fine detailed job of reviewing new mechines I find it a shame that Polaris doesn't invite you to the factory!

    Good review they are still playing catch up with Polaris. They are just to cheap to put park in the transmission and do away with the damn parking brake which is crap. I have a 2019 Rspec Se. Did they put inner front fender liners on it or is the mud still going up under the dash board?

    • @Holden-McGroin
      @Holden-McGroin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Polaris definitely isn’t cheap junk, but it does leave a lot to be desired. When they have design flaws that are widely known they just leave it unless it’s a safety issue. Polaris performance is hard to beat though, and many people are willing to put up with the problems to get the performance. As far as the “park” goes, it sucks. Would happily trade for a parking brake in my RZR. I guess the grass is always greener lol.

      If you plan on riding at slow speeds under 25-30 mph the talon can be very jerky. It’s clutched very aggressively. It’s a quality machine put its meant to be rode at a faster pace. Just my view as a previous talon owner.

    • @TheEhnd
      @TheEhnd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honda had the Talon in development for way too long which resulted in releasing a current model effectively a generation or two behind. The suspension geometry is simply broken. The only "fix" for the front/rear balance issue is to hang a spare tire way off the back of the machine. I'm sure their next generation will be significantly better but in the meantime, current models are best to be avoided.

      Dave Henneman not at all. The current Wolverines are great machines and I don’t see myself getting ride of my X4 anytime soon. The complaints are all just little nit picking things, case in point the location of the door latch, but dependability wise the X’s are a sound machine with plenty of power for trail riding.

      @@AppalachianMountainRiders, Thanks for the time and effort you put into all of your videos. We appreciated it! We all get that most of the vehicles you've featured can't hit 60 so obviously doing 0-60 testing doesn't make sense for them. With the RMAX reportedly able to push the speedo past 70, you might want to consider a 0-60 additional set of tests for the vehicles that can do it - maybe even a max speed test as well. That would certainly be handy long term when you start testing sheave performance out.

    Belt drive...Noooo thanks. Never again. Antiquated design that generates no interest at all. Others ingenuity and forward progressing design is much welcomed and proven.

      Yamaha has a 10 yr basically no questions asked belt warranty. And as long as you use yamalube products. Has a 10 yr, 5000 hour, or 100k mile engine warranty. Can't really beat that...

      If you’re having issues with a belt-drive CVT, it’s you, not the machine. My RZR has ~1500 miles, original belt, and it is ridden HARD.
