I downsized my wardrobe to 5 pairs of pants, 3 shorts, and a dozen shirts about a year ago when I recognized I didn't wear half of my clothes because I didn't like them. Now I've got a smaller wardrobe and I'm starting to realize I don't like some of these either because they're cheaply made. Thanks for inspiring me to find something GOOD and SUSTAINABLE.
That work shirt is definitely my style. Not out of place with the mountain folk, nor in town with the business babies. I am super broke (fixed income) but find wools to be worth a month of rice and beans. Something that I can wear as an overshirt all week out in the woods, show up in town unlaundered and still be presentable and not smelling.. so long as I jump in the creek or take a shower, I can throw wools back on and not smell one bit. Isn't that what a "man's shirt" should really hold up to?!! I also agree about the meats, I feel the same about my veggies. I can eat it, then tell you which it was. I have extremely strong acetyl choline pathways; I hear what my body tries to tell me. I know when I eat misery and chemicals, or low nutrient. On that note, wool feels way more connecting to nature. Just like a dip in ice water, theres something about doing it the way it was for millions of years. There is also a reason it's still around. Even after 80 years of the "military industrial complex" running most nations economies and politics through racketeering specifically to promote all the synthetics and eleminate competitors.. Wools are still being demanded by the people. Still being produced. Still preforming better in most departments (although merinos take a hit in durability). I do not find wool itchy, If that shirt was shettland, it would last a lifetime and I would be willing to live on grasshoppers till I had it.
My three Cs: Cut: broadens the shoulder the slims the waist. Comfort: breathable, fast dry, sweat wicking, light Cost-effectiveness: expensive and durable or cheap and replaceable
Hey Chase. I started down the merino wool path a few years ago. Love wearing merino, warm when it’s cold, breaths & wicks when it’s hot. Almost no odor retention and some natural antibacterial properties. I’ve worn Prince & wool Shirts for a couple of years. But you should try Outlier’s merino. Better quality and build, super comfortable. I have 4 t-shirts and three of Outliers’ button down shirts. Awesome. Unless I’m wearing a suit, it’s my daily uniform. Cheers bruh 🤙🏻

I used to rotate through the shirts I wore to work. There was no particular order but wore everyone until I needed to wash them. They often looked clean, but you know, collars and cuffs pick up the daily commute dust and grime. So one day I had all my shirts washed and dried and started to iron them. All nice and clean just needing a quick iron. As I picked up the first I found both collar and cuffs worn through. Twenty years earlier I remember helping my mother unpick the cuffs and turn them around and sew them back up. But the shirt had done me good service so time to throw it away. I picked up the next shirt and to my surprise the collar and cuffs are also completely worn through. Seventeen shirts later I had a pile of un-ironed shirts and none for work next week. After that I decided to have only three. All the colours and styles were not necessary. Three classic, comfortable shirts that would still be smart in appearance even after a long day at the office. After each wash they would look as new until the day they fell to bits. In the wardrobe I would have one more hardly warn shirt. I reduced the wardrobe space and the time to decide what to wear next. The downside is having to buy a new shirt more often - like once a year or so. Last November I went to a specialised outlet for a jacket and new shirt going on a trip into the new year and to a wedding on 26th December. I paid more for the white cotton shirt than I would normally but just putting it on it feels so good, the materials are awesome. Get that same feeling everytime and will for years to come. Your mileage - your choice - is different. Mindful choices are yours always.
Could you do a round up of like best system admin/IT bags. We typically carry at least 1 laptop, often some type of tablet, lots of cables, sometimes different tools like toner probes, network analyzers, bit sets like ifixit protech, portable hard drives. Often have to carry them Everytime we leave desk. Need to get in and out of backpack often, and personally I like it to be cool on back (server rooms be hot)

I was initially a fan of the W&P button ups but the fabric care ended up being a challenge for my shirts with the thicker Merino wool. Out of seven shirts, only three have survived to six months due to what I would assume are unreliable washer temperatures (I always hang dry). The remaining three were bought at a slightly larger size to account for this. Of those, two are w&p polos that I absolutely adore. I really love wearing Merino, but the fabric care has been more of a challenge than I wanted to believe when I clicked "buy." I'd love to find some nice non-golf synthetic everyday button ups or polos, but I haven't spotted any yet that have matched the quality of w&p
You don't wash wool on delicate. Its advantage is the fibres not absorbing odor so you just air them out. On delicate the clothes don't get rinsed as well and this slowly affects the fibres.

Went after them a few months ago, looking for the same things with less brain waves to get there for everyday outdoor use, problem with these guys is SIZES, I am 5'8" and 215, shoulders will not fit the largest shirt they make, I like the one I have but unless I want to hold my breath all day it is a no go for me, hopefully they make a XXL someday-Good vid bro-
Idk if this is a more British/European thing, but if you're looking for your standard shirt, in an excellent quality, with great size options, at a VERY reasonable price point (especially with offers/sales/discount codes), I 100% recommend Charles Tyrwhitt over any other brand. I've tried all the other brands that get point into 'smart/business shirt' rankings, and none compare. As a 6'1 guy who is 63kg, their extra slim fit is a godsend. May be more expensive in America, as a lot of UK brands tend to be, you'd have to check for yourself! Love from England, Chase

Great shirts, agreed completely on the button up. Felt it a bit itchy, but it’s ok after a while. All the other benefits are on point. I wore mine for about 8 times, no wash, no odor, great. Only thing I saw a little pile up in the armpits.
I went to south East Asia for 6 months, the clothes I wore the most were some merino wool T-shirt, tank top, shorts (and socks for hiking) from icebreaker. Best purchase ever. Depending on the thickness of the fabric, it can be super light and breathy or really warm. You should give it a go...

Merino wool actually is great for warm and cool climate and really light weight.
