Absolutely awesome video I could watch this stuff all day long, I remember when I was very young and my dad towed a 32 Ford to a airport it had a flathead Offenhauser heads, Edelbrock manifold with three Stromberg 94's, when the sun went down people lined up down the runway and turned on their headlights to watch the races. Really the good old days

I grew up in as we say those good ole days...not that everyday isn't good. Were alive..But damn y'all they don't make cars like they did back from the60sthru the early 90s.... just look and listen to those damn Hot Rods. Love it

Thanks for another great video. Does anyone remember how much horsepower the old super stocks use to have?
Almost all of the super stocks of the early sixties had engines based around the nascar rules, a maximum of seven liters, 427 cu in. Chevy had a 409 rated 425 hp, but they enlarged that motor to the little-remembered z11 package of 427cu in, now still under-rated at 425hp. Mopar had maxwedges and hemis, both rated at 425hp, 426 cu in, ford had a 427 hi riser, and pontiac had a super duty 421, under rated at 415hp (if i remember right). All of those motors used dual quads and cast iron header-like exhaust manifolds, at least until they were replaced by true headers. All of those were also offered with lightweight frontends for their drag packages, either aluminum or fiberglass (ford). Those factory lightweights are now worth a fortune. What those engines ACTUALLY put out is open to conjecture.

theirs know better car racing to watch then old school drag racing when it was really the man and the machine can't replace the looks of the cars and the feel of them and watching them go down the track

The high nose stance helped put as much weight over the rear slicks as possible, helping them dig in for maximum get-up-and-go.

Almost all DS's from a certain angle appear to go down hill. I don't know why
I race there a lot and its slightly down hill but not by much. It elevates in the shut down tho

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on....So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. :-(((
