I am really curious : do you guys really but whatever season’s trendy stuff? What do you do with clothes from 3 yrs ago? Clear out 1/2 the closet every 2 years? Or do you wear trends AFTER they’re over too? I personally wear what I think Is cute and looks good on ME. And of course my style evelopes and has changed throughout the years even as an adult it’s changed more than once but I don’t give in to all the trends. I feel like if I buy these trendy skirts now because I think I like them (because so many wear it) I dont think I would still like them 2 yrs from now. I still wear skinny jeans because I think they’re hot and I feel comfortable wearing them. I just feel like I don’t let myself be influenced that much by what is “trendy”. I’d rather wear what I like even if not in the trends but have my individual style…
Personally, majority of my wardrobe is from years ago that I’ve collected over time- however I like to pick up a handful of new trends each season to mix in. As my style changes, I get rid of some pieces & being in some new. I don’t think there’s any thing wrong with that! It’s fun to see the new trends for the season & mix them in with staples! 🫶🏼 (& most of the time, a “trend” is just something new that I’m adding that I will continue to wear for a while. For ex: a few years ago I bought a bunch of button ups bc they were trendy but now they are just a staple in my wardrobe)
