These where my thoughts on day one of the knife over a week ago.
    Just picked one up today.
    My thoughts.
1.and this is huge it's legal in uk.
2.it never seems to get mentioned and its another biggy...it has a half stop.
3.the blade shape is close to a sheepsfoot which I find more useful and easier to sharpen on the fly.
4.pocket clip is short but very tight which as a trucker I like.
5.just below the cutting blade there is a finger pinch so if it does fold a little it's not taking skin with its kiss.
6.its a very smooth and almost silent close when pushed.
7.lanyard hole is placed in a position that puts wrist strap on the correct place on wrist in a more natural way.
8.it can be closed with one hand, most are over tight on the spring so you end up using your leg, and over the years I have dropped, cut, or transferred the crap off my knife on to my pants.
    9. The price is reasonable for this and I wouldn't cry if I lost, broke or had it stolen.
    10. It feels nice in the hand and hot spots are not bad at all
    Things i hate.
1.The coloured plastic detailing...thinking of taking mine out and replacing with brass.
2.i am not sold on the powder coating ....I can see this scratching over time.
3.all the screw heads are a weird size I do not have.
4.biggy....the blade steel could be better but that's being picky.
    5. The reduced the weight inside but I really would have preferred that extra weight in my hand.
So my score out of 10 is 8.5.
If I paid more than I did it would have been lower.
But for a general use pocket knife that does not scream look at me and sound like something from martial arts film I would recommend it.

Pretty much agree on all your points, the steel is meh but serves it's purpose. The high mirror polish does scratch crazy quick your correct on that one! I'm not crazy over the plasticy handle slabs but whatever, would love to have seen micarta or some sort of wood. The screw sizes are weird huh!! Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner TH-cam flagged it for whatever silly reason lol

@@WaltRevenJr after a week the clip is loose and I cannot tighten it because the left screw is already rounded... taking it back for a replacement.

Beautiful knife. I’ve been looking for a uk legal knife for an EDC. This is it! Great review 👍

I hated this knife until I put a thumb stud on it, now it opens with one hand.
    And it's super useful.

Awesome idea actually ty! It's a nice knife but yea the bugger needs a thumb stud!

Good review 👍 This knife is one that I've looked at but didn't really pay close attention to detail. After seeing your review I feel like it's a good choice for a dressy kind of knife. Like a church carry or something.

Hey Jeff, yea man I was on the fence with this at first but it has grown on me. It has its flaws and isn't 100 percent perfect but its really beautiful and feels hefty while not being overly heavy, really nice if you enjoy traditional types. Thnx for watching man, hope you are doing good!

Hey Walt I love the looks of that little Gerber. It is a great looking piece with the blue handle and shine on the blade. Nice review!

Your upload of this Gerber prompted me to take another look at Gerber's 2019 models and they have a couple of others that are also of interest!

Its nice Mark, I do feel the polish is a little over the top but the knife is very beautiful no doubt. Just different looking ya know

@@WaltRevenJr I love different looking knives! I look at knives as small little pieces of mechanical art forms and enjoy all of the different materials, forms, and shapes. They are one of the original tools that I use in all of my work spaces. Even if it has some small flaws I think Gerber is now creating some pieces that are taking these thoughts into consideration.

That plastic insert, and short pocket clip is not my cup of tea, but I'm really digging the shape of the blade. I would also prefer it in a different color. Thanks for the video, I hadn't heard about this model. That is one of the things I like about knife collecting; there is just so many options out there for knife collectors in past and present knives made. Take care!

Yea man the plastic piece is annoying as is the short pocket clip which i may just remove. Beautiful knife other than the minor issues. Ty for watching, hope all is well
